| Atari only produced two different controllers geared specifically for the Atari 7800. One is the standard Pro Line joystick that shipped with 7800 systems in North America, and the other is a Joypad controller that shipped in Europe. The standard 7800 controller is somewhat awkward to use, so many people prefer the joypad controller. Standard Atari 2600 joysticks will also work on the 7800, although games that require a second button won't work properly. | | |
| Company | Controller | Description | Small Image | | Atari | Atari 7800 Joypad | Sold in Europe, Australia, and other locations outside North America, the 7800 Joypads are similar to NES joypads with a small, removable stick on the d-pad. They were most often packaged with systems, and while it isn't hard to find them if you have international connections, it is very difficult to find them boxed as an accessory. | | | Atari | Pro-Line Joystick | Standard 7800 joysticks, compatible with the 2600. Marketed as advanced controllers, featuring independently functioning buttons (7800 only). Long, narrow design. | | | Sears | Telegames 7800 Super Deluxe Joystick | Similar to the original 7800 ProController, this unit is made by Telegames and features a switch for "Quick Fire". | | | Atari | XE Light Gun | The XE Light Gun is compatible with both the XE Game System and the 7800 ProSystem. The 7800 never had a light gun made for it exclusively. | | | Records Found: 4 | Click on a column header to sort by that column. Click again to reverse sort order. |
