Title: Master Mind Deluxe | System: Atari 2600 | Author: Cye Freeman | Release Date: 2004 Mini Game Comp | Description: Cye Freeman has embarked to develop a 1K Atari 2600 version of a board game called "Deluxe Master Mind" released in 1975 by Invicta. The Atari 2600 version is being developed as a 1K entry for the 2004 Minigame Competition (a typical Atari 2600 game is 4K or larger). The 2600 version, dubbed Master Mind Deluxe, uses 5 holes and 8 colors, allowing for 32768 possible codes. A second variation uses blank positions, the equivalent of 9 colors, giving 59049 permutations. The original marketing catch-phrase for the game was, "Break the hidden code".
You can download the current version of the game, keep up with the latest developments, and discuss the game with Cye and other AtariAge visitors in our Homebrew Discussion Forum. | | |
