At this year's PhillyClassic we'll be unveiling two new reproduction carts
of unreleased prototypes, as well as two new Atari 2600 homebrews (one being
an update to an earlier game). The two repro carts are complete with professionally

3D Rubik's Cube |
| |
 |
|
3D Rubik's Cube is a completely different version of the
Rubik's Cube game
that Atari eventually released. The version Atari released is a pretty
simple 2D affair, but this prototype is an astonishing 3D version of the
game. This prototype was recently found by David Winter and came as a
surprise as its existence was not previously known. This version of the
game includes a solve option and will also allow you to change the colors
of individual tiles. We can only speculate as to why this version of the
game was passed over in favor of the 2D version eventually released.
3D Rubik's Cube will be sold with a professionally printed box, manual
and label. Use of the Rubik's Cube® is used by permission of Seven
Towns Ltd.

Revenge of the Apes |
| |
 |
|
The last thing you remember was a terrible solar storm
which caused your spaceship to crash land on the planet. You desperately
tried to contact your home base but received no response. After scouting
the area you have noticed that there are apes everywhere. And to your
surprise they are armed and hunting down all the humans they can find!
Your task is to locate the last human stronghold before you are captured
by the apes and then turned into a slave for the remainder of your life!
This unreleased prototype is reproduced from an original prototype owned
by Marc Oberhäuser with permission granted to reproduce by the original
programmer. The game is fully playable and has been enhanced from 4KB
to 8KB with additional graphics and an awesome soundtrack. Revenge of
the Apes will be sold with a professionally printed box, manual and label.
You can listen to a preview of the music composed by Paul Slocum for
Revenge of the Apes here.

Kablamo! |
| |
 |
|
Kablamo! is a 2600 game based on a card game called Boom-O.
However, rather than using cards, programmer Chris Larkin opted to use
symbols instead. Each player starts the game with three bombs. Players
play cards in turn trying not to get the bomb timer over 60 seconds. If
you do manage to bring the timer over 60 seconds...you go Kablamo! and
lose a bomb. There are a few other things that can make you go Kablamo!
as well, but as long as you are the last player with a bomb remaining...you
are the winner!
Kablamo! will include a stunning label designed by David Exton as well
as a full-color manual.
