It was very close to my apartment, just a short trip across the quiet shady street on which I live.
As I mentioned in my previous post, the guy was a total music nut. They used to play fiddle and guitar and all kinds of stuff.

My coworker mentioned that he had one he wants to get rid of so I asked him how much he wanted for it and he said "ah, you can just have it!"
So I am super-excited. I have never had one before! It looks like I will have to put my trusty Dreamcast out to pasture to make room for it though.

What a freaky-deaky morning I had today! Often on Saturday mornings I go running with my running club. Yes, to answer the immediate question, I am indeed in a running club! If I sat around all day playing games, I would be HUUUGE cause I eat like a madman. So I have to run to balance it, plus I get high on the endorphins.
So this morning...

Had a mildly good score today. 22 Genesis games (boxed) console (with Sega CD) and a couple of Sega CD games. TONS of controllers--looks like someone besides me had a thing for cool third-party controller offerings. Also has the awesome video cable. The guy also had a 2600 six-switcher with all the hookups and controllers--the best part is that...

I had an excellent Saturday drive out to the country to meet up with a guy who had a ton of Atari goodies. A friend pointed me to this guy's craigslist ad because he knew the seller (who had earlier tried to sell him the stuff), but when I called earlier this week the seller explained that he had already sold most of the goodies through...
As I mentioned on the thrift finds thread, I bought huge lot of Sega CD goodness. Well, I though it was goodness, but man do these games suck. Especially the movie-based ones. The load times are terrible, the acting is atrocious, and they are just pretty kitschy all around. I guess I can sort of see the charm, but I have been getting bored with...
Well, what better excuse for a blog post? Congrats to Al on the new forum software update. It's going to take me a bit of getting used to, but it's growing on me already!
Lately I have been mostly playing Mario Kart Wii, and my Atari has been sad and neglected. Work has been stressful, and there's just something about MK that...
