Mario Kart 7 part 2

Well, I went to Wal-Mart and wouldn't you know it: They had several copies. So I got one. You can read my thoughts about the game here: http://www.atari2600land.com/3ds/ under "Mario Kart 7." Is it me or does the 3DS have a very short battery life? I only played it for a few hours before I needed to charge it up again! I was in the middle of my last race unlocking Special Cup when the power light switched from red to flashing red. So I had to pause the game and plug the thing in so I could finish what I was doing! I have yet to discover what purpose the coins have since you don't lose any if you hit another player. And they resurrected the race results music from Mario Kart 64, which is cool because I love it. And Kalimari Desert from Mario Kart 64 (the one with the train) is back in the retro track category. But my one major gripe is there is no 1-player Vs. Mode. This is my favorite mode in DS and Wii versions since it's like GP and you can choose which tracks and how many. I have unlocked all the tracks but have yet to play either Special Cup.
