Monsters, Inc.
Company: THQ
Release: Oct. 1, 2001.

Well what do you know? This one, even though I didn't see the movie so I don't exactly understand what I'm doing, turns out to be a surprise. It beats the "Can I beat the first level?" question. This platform collect-a-thon can be confusing at times since you're basically going from room to room with no map of the place you're going through. So I guess it's kind of like Doom in a way only instead of killing zombies, you're scaring people with orange suits on using the R button while collecting pieces of doors, then once you clear an area, you go to an area where you fit the door pieces into the actual door. Then once all the door is back together, you enter it and face a boss. I spent a good 20 minutes playing this one, and that's rare for GBA Chronogaming games, so I guess you could say it's better than average. Another two pluses is you can set the game's difficulty and it uses passwords, so if I ever wanted to see the final boss, maybe there's some password listed on a cheats site that would let me.

Up next: Well, I don't know, there are two more games released on the same day as this one. They are Mega Man Battle Network (whoopee. I may skip that one since I'd have no idea how to play it) and Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge. So either one of those two. Looking ahead it looks like I'll have my hands full this month. Super Street Fighter II (I never did like fighter games) and Boxing Fever (ditto). You know, if you have Mega Man Battle Network (the first one right now) and would like to submit a review, I'd be more than happy to accept it. Just PM me. Just write up a summary of what you're doing and how to play it like I've been doing.
