Green screen
I remembered in elementary school playing on a computer where on the monitor the only color was green. Well, I found my drawings and stuff the teacher made me do in kindergarten and lo and behold found the answer to everything. It was an Apple II. That must have been the computer I remembered. I had made a few pages in my kindergarten journal called "Computerland" (this was in 1990) where there was a picture of Megaman (perhaps I got him confused with Mario? I've never heard of Megaman at the time, well, that, and he's saving a princess...) and a few mazes from Pac-Man. I'm surprised there's no mention of Tetris, I played the heck out of that game as a kid. Perhaps I was too young at the time. I had quite the imagination back then. Where as other kids had a whole journal, at the end of the school year I had 5, filled with drawings and other historical stuff. The Blazers were winning, and on a map of the United States I drew, I wrote "HURRICANE HUGO" in the Atlantic Ocean right near Georgia. And oh yeah, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles put the crack in the Liberty Bell, went to the moon with Neil Armstrong (where they killed him) and other bizarre stuff. This makes me want to start a 6th "journal" over 20 years later. (I had extra pages put on the fifth one to fill out the rest of the school year!) In the first journal, I put the schedule of the day, revealing what time I did all this creating (it was 1-1:20pm if you're curious.) I wish I could go back in time and experience the world then knowing stuff I do now. I would beg my parents to tape a lot more on the TV, that's for sure!
