Yay! Our tickets for the Ruhrpott Rodeo arrived yesterday, so we're ready to go now!

Also, today the running order for the festival got announced, so I added this info above :)

The poster looks odd every time I see it as I don't associated rodeos with Germany - are they common there?

The one held here in Houston is huge:

I don't think we have anything that can compete, but there's e.g. the "Americana" exhibition here in Augsburg every 2 years. They do a couple of shows and parts of it might indeed somewhat qualify as rodeo-like ;)

I can't access their page right now, but maybe it works on your end: http://www.americana.eu/

Tagging a punk festival here with "Rodeo" certainly is basically just clever marketing with an uncommon out-of-context term :)

Other big punk festivals in Germany are called "Punk & Disorderly", "Back to the Future" and "Force Attack".

No real rodeo either, but we do have an awesome annual knights tournament just around the corner:

Yeah, that page worked.

That's going on now just south of Dallas (4 hour drive from my place)

The one in the Houston area is in October/November

And the one in the Austin area (about a 3 hour drive) is in February/March

I've been going to the Houston one since the 80s. Haven't made it out to the others yet.
