Did anyone else get an email from JUDGE.ME asking for a review of something from the AtariAge Store?  For all I know Atari is working with this company,  but they asked for a review of something I bought 11 years ago!  (They thought I bought it 14 days ago)  And it is signed  Thanks, The AtariAge Team.  I just want to make sure this isn't some scam...

Same here. Asked me to review a purchase I made years ago, claimed the purchase was two weeks ago. Looks like AtariAge was hacked?
      6. Albert

Not a hack, this was an email accidentally sent from the new store we're using.  Judge.me is a plugin that handles reviews (and you'll be able to reply to reviews now, include pictures, and so forth, so it'll be a lot nicer in the new store as far as reviews go).  You can safely ignore the email.

Did you know during the early strips, Jon and Garfield use to smoke? That's right, Jon use to smoke a pipe and Garfield would steal it from Jon to have a puff.

Eventually, Jim Davis ended both of their smoking because it would promote children to consider the habit.

      1. NeonPeon

I did not know that! Did Garfield steal it more than once?
      2. Charlie Cat

@NeonPeon Hi Mark. He did so a few times in the strips. While Jim Davis made Garfield stop first, he let Jon smoke a little bit longer before eventually ending the idea altogether.

I have this game on Switch & beat it.  It also included the Space Invaders vs Arkanoid game too.  But I haven't played it in a while.  There are a lot of levels.  It's an interesting mix of the 2 games though.

    • Well that's awesome! Not 100% sure what it is but my first guess would be proto/test release given the number. Maybe for employees in house before the retail version had been created? 🧐 Only way to know for sure I guess would be to send it to me Rog for closer inspection. 😎😂
    • SG-1000 doesn't have any BIOS. All service/system routines are in the game ROM. However, 81 games of official SG-1000 games are equal or smaller than 32KB.   Colecovision has 8KB of BIOS routines, not present in game ROM. MSX has 16KB BIOS routines, not present in game ROM.
    • Android and iOS? Dude, that's wild... I can't imagine playing an AD&D game on a tablet or iPhone. Anyway, these sound awesome. I just don't know when or where I'm going to find the time. 😕     I offend people when I say this... but remember the old Ultima games, like Ultima 1 through 5? Those games are horrendous (in my opinion) on the PC. But the versions they put out for the 8-Bit Nintendo made them more like Dragon Warrior, and in my opinion, far more playable. Ultima 6 of course MUST be on a PC... and sucks on a console (my opinion), but maybe the Dark Alliance games are just better on PC.         Ok, so you're starting to uncover my "crack" addiction here. I have a problem... and also apparently I lied to you guys (more on that). I have 389 games in my GoG Library. I hoard digital media. I feel the need to be a hoarder, but not in my real life because it's too stressful. So I have bare walls in some rooms just because I like the feeling of open space. But computer games were such a huge part of my childhood when I was in grade school. I went to a boarding school, and my parents let me take my 8088 KayPro with me (other kids had 286s and one kid had the new 386!). So I was enthralled with these games. Suffice it to say, I apparently have every single one of the games you listed above.   And I remember now that I have actually played Pools of Radiance - Ruins of Myth Drannor. I would creepily wait in the parking lot of my Catholic church (while my daughter was in Sunday School, which was on Tuesday nights oddly enough), and I'd play on a small laptop, Pool of Radiance... this one, not the old Gold Box Series game. I got fairly far in it, but I screwed something up, and cannot find a key with which to open a door that will allow me to go on to the next "area." I can't even recall exactly what... but the key is gone, and now I'm screwed. So I don't think there's anything I can do... even though I wanted to complete the game (sigh).    Anyway... I just looked up Icewind Dale... and damn, those games are both awesome, and both totally along the lines of kind of what I'd like to play. I'm almost thinking that when I'm done with BG3... I will probably go straight to Icewind Dale.
    • You can generate roms of any size but to use the data and code over 32Kb you need to use banks (both on msx and ColecoVision).
    • Excellent points I agree you have written the first 2 player game that does not use extra RAM.   Both the SuperCharger and CBS RAM formats provide extra RAM and my game uses 256 extra bytes of RAM, the full capacity of CBS RAM.   I think we both should share credit for concept implementation as parallel researchers working independently of one another.

    • FYI, the 3-player Asteroids has left the building. It will be replaced with a 2-player model that will have a different software build, here in the next 2-3 weeks.   Also, since this was brought up in threads on this in the past, I've been told that the pricing for the 3-player will change and be lower than what it had been at $13k, but not sure when they will be announcing that new price.
