Did anyone else get an email from JUDGE.ME asking for a review of something from the AtariAge Store?  For all I know Atari is working with this company,  but they asked for a review of something I bought 11 years ago!  (They thought I bought it 14 days ago)  And it is signed  Thanks, The AtariAge Team.  I just want to make sure this isn't some scam...

I did too.  Something I may have bought over 15 years ago.  I wonder if it's some sort of phishing scam?

More likely a misformed database query, where someone who got legitimate access to the order history is setting up automated feedback forms but mistook the criteria which orders to select, perhaps every one marked as delivered but no previous feedback given. Those of us who work with SQL know how easy it is to miss one field in the selection query and get far more results than anticipated.

Did you know during the early strips, Jon and Garfield use to smoke? That's right, Jon use to smoke a pipe and Garfield would steal it from Jon to have a puff.

Eventually, Jim Davis ended both of their smoking because it would promote children to consider the habit.

I have this game on Switch & beat it.  It also included the Space Invaders vs Arkanoid game too.  But I haven't played it in a while.  There are a lot of levels.  It's an interesting mix of the 2 games though.

I absolutely love the label art on these two cartridges. It kind of gives me "hippie/black light" vibes. I might have to put these right next to my Jimi Hendrix poster 😜

    • Ok now you're getting into my space with that question.  What are these?  More of the same and in also anything but the same.  Confused?  Good.  It's D&D but live combat, you move around using a controller though keyboard and mouse I think works just as much as well too.  These started out initially for BG1 on Gamecube, PS2, and XB, but the sequel skipped Cube despite it doing fine in the day because most third parties had started to sadly ignore the thing going into its 4th year.  This game is live combat, live interactions, and moving along in a style you'd more think would be in play with a game like Diablo II.  Things aren't as tiny and no click straining your finger type stuff.  YOU can't also treat it like Gauntlet Legends, run in and swing away and think you'll survive either.   Both the games have a D&D style story, the first one I'm really just familiar with and you open up coming to town, a thieves guild luckily only knock you out and take your stuff, but not your life.  You end up in this bar, help the lady who runs the place and others to start trying ot find out who robbed you, where's your stuff, and it goes down a very D&D style rabbithole of the strange.   It will take you well beyond Baldur's Gate itself into other realms as things progress so your'e not always just in town, in the towns sewers etc.  I finished this on the Cube a few times in the day, and I guess whatever Steam/GoG says is the release date it got a HD remaster(nothing grand on the upgrade, it stayed true for better or worse) and released on PC, iOS, Android, modern consoles(Switch, PS, XB.)  Personally I think if you enjoy D&D, live combat vs turn based or seeming so (like the old games you're discussing before this), also liked how Diablo and even to a point gauntlet and their typess handle you should really dig this game.  There's a lot of gear, spells, weapons and more to pick up, enhance, learn, etc in this game.  It won't hold your hand really either, you can get chewed up if you get too brave.   When it re-released I grabbed it on Switch as console was first, a bit later PC hit and did that, but seeing as I think I could handle it, as a test I did grab the first one also for my phone for boring moments and it didn't disappoint.
    • Hi guys,   This morning, we are with The Flying Kick. Here we see him sharing a great preview of Vengeance Hunters for the Neo-Geo. Enjoy.    From the description, "Coming later this year is not an exaggeration to say this is probably one of the best beat 'em ups on the Neo Geo, if not the best. The game is being developed by Nalua Studios, a recently created Indie Game Studios that has in its ranks some pretty experienced developers and artists. You can check more about them on their site, and also, you can pre-order the Neo Geo version right now."       Anthony...

    • Ha, it's just an arcade, so there's no alcohol there, but it's in a little downtown with pubs, bars, and breweries right next door, so you're good.  Sorry to hear about your daughter, hopefully a little retro action will help, if even just a little!
    • Lode Runner isn't one of these; but its progenitor Space Panic is: And its direct predecessor Heiankyo Alien is too: Maybe Heiankyo Alien is the earliest non-shooter game where you have to eliminate all of the enemies? After all it predates Pac-Man.
    • Welcome to Atari Age.   You have a very nice clean 800XL with very little internal rust and a very reasonable home made Rambo XL.   You could have saved some space and money by leaving the two redundant chips from your build of the RamboXL. You have a newer (than the 1200XL) version of ANTIC so you only needed two extra logic chips for the decoder.   However your RAM upgrade should appear as 12 extra 16KB banks = 192KB, so try SIMCHECK and SIMTEST, the latest versions being in the link @Beeblebrox provided.   I am glad that you finally found an Atari 800XL to take home and play with! 😁
    • A package of prototypes #002 of TSFX for the standard tape records.   There are three games in the package. The Spark Bugs game is recorded using the LBE system, others are the traditional combination of the TSCBL loader stored as a boot file, followed by the respective binary load file. While testing, I've realized that the LBE binary loader is not compatible with AltirraOS. I've included the necessary changes that guarantee compatibility.   I also realize that when the recording is in progress, the screen display should change. A single line that says 'Recording...' should do. For turbo systems, it was not necessary, because the screen always goes dark.     tsfx_standard_proto002.zip
    • I have not tested it but I have the original release from PRGE 2022 and I believe you have updated it since then? I know that version has the original scoring bug on hitting the bottles in stage 2 that you corrected later on.
    • Agreed here. The question is, is that feasible? E.g. offers Rockwell its tools, drivers etc. for other OS too? Else you would need all the required information plus a significant amount of resources to get the tools developed from scratch for other OS.
