Playing my VCS on live radio tomorrow night! What games/sounds shall I unleash this time around on the FM airwaves?!  Also getting HSW back on..
      1. PlaidMouse

That's awesome! Two of my favorite things together: Atari & radio! Since you are soliciting requests, here are my recommendations:

        1. Space Invaders (lots of recognizable sounds from that game).
        2. Secret Quest (if you have it; it's got a lot of fun background sounds)
        3. Dragon's Descent (fantastic homebrew by @Revontuli with lots of great music and sound, perfect for FM)
        4. Dig Dug (Taizo Hori's shoes make music when you walk. Should be a lot of fun for the radio!)
        5. Solaris (Lot's of trippy sounds in that game)

What FM station will you be on and at what time? Would love to listen live.

Edit: Just looked to the side and saw that you broadcast on KXSF 102.5FM and KPCR 101.9FM. I'll try to be more observant next time.

    • Atari's Z-8 0 schematic showed that it should be possible for the Atari to send an interrupt to the Z-80.  So, I kept that capability but forgot to take the Z-80 /M1 signal into account.  If the Atari can send the Z-80 an interrupt, it would help with debugging Z-80 software as it would be possible for the interrupt to exit the Z-80 out of an endless loop or run a machine code monitor.  I decided to run the /M1 signal to the output PLD.   Picture of the back side of the Z-80 CP/M card.  The short blue wire is added to support the Atari sending an interrupt to the Z-80.  This line is the M1 line and should be high during normal I/O.  M1 will be low when an interrupt is called.  U22 is now programmed to take M1 into account when handling output from the Z-80 to the Atari.   This connection has been added for the next version of the card.
    • Thousands of VCS cartridges have passed through my hands over the years, but I have never encountered a problem with one not fitting into the slot.  Maybe I got lucky.   You could try opening up the cartridge shell, removing the ROM card, and transplanting it to a different cartridge shell.  If you're careful, you can remove the original label and affix it to your new cartridge too.  Or you could slap a reproduction label on it for little cost.    It may be even cheaper, though, just to buy another Sprintmaster cartridge.  But then, you might run into the same problem if they are all 1 mm wider than other cartridges.  Still, many thousands of people have bought Sprintmaster and got it to fit in their Ataris.  Maybe the problem you have is that your VCS console slot wasn't quite made to specification.   Now I have to go find me a pair of calipers and measure my Sprintmaster carts.  I'll get back to you.     -Ben

    • If we don't get more players I might have to suspend this season.... UGH!!! 🥺
    • The problem is I don't know how to burn the disc right on a Macintosh to get it to play every time I put a burnt disc, it says there are errors.   I understand there are two versions of the Saturn files ones made for computer emulators and ones made to run natively on Saturn hardware.   Also there are two different versions of Dreamcast ROMs ones compacted to fit on a CD and ones that fit on a full GD.   I assume if I have a Saturn hardware I want the ones made for the Saturn hardware, not the ones made for computers, and if I got a 512 gig MicroSD card I want the one that are the full GD versions of Dreamcast games.   How do I tell the difference between those corresponding pairs of Saturn files and Dreamcast files?   I know that .bin files is what the Saturn uses and the .cue files are individual tracks that are marked off as CD music tracks if I'm correct that can be accessed on a regular CD player if they were .wav and not .cue .   I'm getting too many errors with the Saturn disc running and don't know how to fix it.   Add to the fact I got a Macintosh which now is no longer PC compatible because Apple took out PC compatibility as of OS12, when they switch from Intels to M processors.
    • Well maybe i used a french virtual keyboard rather then a qwerty keyboard,so hahaaa🤣🤣
    • yeah that mode is common,  there's also a character/tile mode that has the same resolution but can do 5 colors.   And of course DLIs and PM graphics were commonly used to boost colors on screen much higher.
    • LOL, you're funny.   But both of you please keep politics out of this forum, I won't ask again.   Thanks,    ..Al
