I liked Joe Atari ...Just kinda cool like Who's that?  That's Joe Atari man!  His name's Joe, he's a fan of Atari,...

But the new name, I mean if don't overenunciate  and say it with gusto and extreme balls,  while shaking a fist,  maybe even half a death metal vocal like I just joined Amon Amarth onstage, seems like it comes out wrong,  ya know?   Don't get me wrong I do like that about it,  in fact maybe I should enjoy the experience oh also I keep calling you Neon Wrath!  (Pronounced NEEEEEONN WRATH!!! but yeah,...Looked right at it too!)...Thought of my cool Plymouth NEON  then that cool Chrysler Concept car that Charlie Sheen drove in The WRAITH and just kept mispronouncing it...It's Busby the Bobcat all over again.

But hey,  What I meant to say was if you're happy I'm happy!  NEON WRAITH!!!!!
      4. Lord Mushroom

I am not a fan of changing names. People who knew you suddenly won´t anymore. For the same reason, I am not a fan of changing images either, although that does much less damage.

That seems like a better way of doing it, momentum coming from both directions, as opposed to a single direction. makes more of an impact

That a very comprehensive SegaAges line-up of classic Super Scalers, never turned up on Switch is something I hope Sega rectify on Switch 2. Something akin to the full line-up on the japanese 3DS/2DS and with a few others, that’d be cool. (I’ve also wondered if the Evercade is much more the real target market for such collection as we’re now speaking 2024/25 concerning such possibilities).
      1. r_chase

Yeah, I do hope FPGA takes off more than ever tbh. Especially in the context of 8-bit computers as well. After all, fun fact: the Spectrum Next and its clones are FPGA iirc.

    • My latest entry in my nostalgic trip entitled "20 From 1992" features the cool and possibly underrated NINJA COMMANDO.  Played this a long time ago, but didn't realize the special moves each character can execute.  3 ninjas try to take down a terrorist and his evil corporation, and have to travel through time to do so.  This run and gun game forces your ninja in a position where they are facing upwards, and can only fire shurikens/kunai/flaming arrows left and right while dodging and pressing the fire button-- which tosses the projectile in the OPPOSITE direction!  Kind of annoying, but necessary so you can pull off the special moves (which are joystick/button combinations) seamlessly.  You can also utilize special animal-based attacks when you collect 3 scrolls, which give you brief invincibility as you lay waste to as many enemies as you can during this time.  Also, you can use a magic attack that uses up a little of your precious life.. I say "precious" because as you get further in the game and take on tougher bosses, their attacks wipe out your life bar like nothing!  And you have no extra lives!  Some frustrating aspects are far outweighed by the game's many pluses, which include running dialogue (via text) by your character throughout the game!  Great fun.
    • I also removed the battery pack, but I can't remember how I did it. On the other hand, you have to remove them, mine is starting to oxidize.   JL
    • Thanks! But a lot of the credits goes to you! Without your help and your work, the game would not feature ANY music
    • Thanks for all the nice replies! @Intymike @DZ-Jay great that you noticed! I LOVE cracktros. This was just the first version, and I am planning to have a "real" cracktro in the finished game. @cmadruga @carlsson @Snowbound1996 I have exchanged 2-3 emails with embracer so far. Sounded like they were already thinking about what to do with the giana IP. I think they did not have the Intellivision in mind, but they were not generally opposed to the idea. They mentioned they also got Limited Run Games as a distributor. They are going through a major change in company structure atm, so its maybe the worst time to talk to them... But I will keep you updated!
    • I agree you should ask the contest organizers rather than us (They're right here after all), but I personally agree it was pretty clear the rule was intended to avoid people entering e.g., their take on a Mario game in the contest. As far as Atari owning that 3D renderer, well, it'd be confusing if they didn't want someone using it to make a game for the Jaguar, but that's neither here nor there when it comes to interpreting the contest rules.   Regardless, cool that you got it working with an ancient version of 3dsmax!
    • Wonder if it also works under linux with wine?
    • Hi All, I found this file on one of my old drives.

    • That's Awesome!  In my living room I have a (...looks) a Denon AVR-1906,  and I've had Great Luck with it!  It replaced a SONY where some of the channels died ;(   It's so crazy to think I paid hundreds of dollars for mine,  and you find one for $5!!  Good Job!
