Did anyone else get an email from JUDGE.ME asking for a review of something from the AtariAge Store?  For all I know Atari is working with this company,  but they asked for a review of something I bought 11 years ago!  (They thought I bought it 14 days ago)  And it is signed  Thanks, The AtariAge Team.  I just want to make sure this isn't some scam...

Just sent the Store Contact a message asking what the heck is going on with the AtariAge systems to send me a new message about an order 14 day ago that does not exist?

And what the heck is going on with the AtariAge systems to send me a new review request for an order 7 years old?

Did you know during the early strips, Jon and Garfield use to smoke? That's right, Jon use to smoke a pipe and Garfield would steal it from Jon to have a puff.

Eventually, Jim Davis ended both of their smoking because it would promote children to consider the habit.

I absolutely love the label art on these two cartridges. It kind of gives me "hippie/black light" vibes. I might have to put these right next to my Jimi Hendrix poster 😜

    • It strikes me that in Mario Bros, you knock turtles upside down by jumping from the platform below them. In Super Mario Bros, you knock most enemies by jumping at them from the top. The question - perhaps already answered - is in which previous games you could knock enemies from either direction. I know that in Joust, you spear them down if you come from above. In Lode Runner, you dig holes for zombies to fall into. Many other games simply resorted to shooting or other form of direct combat.
    • Yeah I just woke up to one myself and I believe it's from approx 10 years ago.  Don't have a problem reviewing, just want to make sure it's not bogus...
    • Yes. Powers of two certainly tend to be the common quantifier.
    • I definitely will. If you ever have the chance, definitely go to Hack Miami also. It's a much smaller get together... but there's always someone weird there. John McAfee went twice with his entourage, and they had a presentation from Mossad another year, and YTCracker comes regularly too. I don't think I ever stood out because I was originally from Miami, and I'd let my hair grow out a bit before I'd go anyway.   Man, I'd heard about BSides many times, and just never thought it was in Florida. That's awesome.      Well... I'm psyched... I'm definitely going to that arcade this weekend. And perfect timing too. My daughter just broke up with her boyfriend and she's devastated (which I don't get because SHE broke up with him). But it's been drama for an entire week, so I think we all need to hit the arcade. Hopefully they sell alcohol there too... hahah...
    • You can actually import text files into images in TIImageTool, but you will always be asked whether you intend to import this as a text file. This may be a bit tedious for larger sets of files.   BTW, I just found a bug with that function; the imported file does not show up, and when you press F5, it does, but the file system has not been correctly updated. I need to fix that.
    • It’s not an unreasonable ask at all to want a universal updater or one for Mac, and no one here ever claimed that it was. But that’s not what you’re here for. You registered an account here for the sole purpose of trashing this product and complaining about it not perfectly suiting you personally.   You’ve had dozens of people offer you assistance or explain alternative ways to get this product updated for you, but the way you carry on and insult the people here who are trying to help you doesn’t exactly endear the community to embrace your stance.    All of this is of your choosing. Your inflexibility about using windows for a task that takes 5 minutes, your constant passive aggressive insults, your condescending tone. And you wonder why there’s a stereotype about Mac users.    if I didn’t know better, I would almost suspect this whole account was a shill/plant designed to astroturf bad opinions about this product in order to sink it, commercially.
    • Thanks guys! That's awesome!!!    Yeah, so just to be clear, the last "physical copy" game that I bought was Menzoberranzan, but all the other games I bought on GOG. It's sad really, almost an obsession... I flagged every single AD&D and D&D game I could find and just bought them all on GOG. But I JUST looked (right this minute), and I see that I own Baldur's Gate 1 and 2... both the enhanced editions.   I just looked at EE for BG1 and it says, "The Enhanced Edition contains over 75 hours of gameplay, including the original campaign, the classic Sword Coast expansion, plus brand new challenges in the Black Pits arena!"   And BG2 EE says, "The Enhanced Edition includes the original Shadows of Amn campaign, the Throne of Bhaal expansion, plus brand new challenges in the Black Pits II arena!"   I guess I thought I already owned everything related to it, but I just saw on GOG there's some other things: DLC Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear. I guess apparently I do own this, but it doesn't seem to be included in any of the EE games I already have (but it says "In Library").   There are also two games that just came up that apparently I do NOT own:   - Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2   What are these? Have you guys ever played these? Are these like offshoots, like how Ultima had the Savage Empire games being an off-shoot of Ultima 6?   It's definitely going to be weird doing D&D where it's real-play... (not turn based)... but the graphics definitely seemed to be a bit closer to what I like.   @fdr4prez, I do have a Dual Pentium II machine with Windows 98 SE and all the good stuff in it (Sound Blaster 16 ASP, Roland SCC-1, etc.). But GOG pre-loads all the stuff like DOSBOX and everything, so the games will likely run fine on my current modern PC.      Thanks guys!!!
