I'm sorry but it's way to close to April 1st. I'm still not buying it. Until there is some video or a dump, I'm not convinced this is real. The whole story seems fishy to me.

You really think the photos I took have somehow been fudged? I'll post a video either later tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Hey, it is almost April 1st. It's hard not to be a little suspicious.

I think you shouldn't bother wasting time taking pictures or videos and just dump the ROM and post it so we can all test it together.

Already dumped and sent off. I haven't tried it yet in an emulator as I will need to install one of the 7800 emulators (ProSystem?) in a Windows VM on my Mac. I'll play around with that this weekend and see if I can get it to run without any problems. Will post some screenshots once I do that. As I mentioned earlier, it's not up to me to release the binary for everyone to enjoy..

I think some of us were willing to wait a few days more but since you went through the trouble to prove this is real, I say "thanks". I gotta say it sound a lot of like the 2600 Jr. Pac-Man.

The 2600 and 7800 have the same sound hardware, unless the cart contains a POKEY, which that one does not appear to.

I use MacMess to play in the 7800 HSC. It lacks in configuration options, but seems to work pretty well.

I'd like to thank the original poster here for doing the right thing right away and allowing this to be dumped. It doesn't always go that way, with some others getting paranoid and unnecessarily greedy. This is a great find, and now at the very least, the dump will be preserved, which is the most important thing here. Good work!

Wow, just watched the video (took over 4 hours to download on my Dial up connection

Wow. I don't miss those days at all.

The original file was over 500MB before it was transmogrified. That would have taken 40 hours to download!!

..Al

Yea, that would not be possible, my connection times out after 6 hours :(

Hi!

What are you trying to configure that you can't? I also use MacMess and it works great!

Buttons. Specifically "Pause" on my Logitech USB gamepad. :)

It would also be nice to use my trackball/mouse with Centipede, but I'll settle for pause.

Hi!

When MacMess is running, press "Command + return" and you can access the options menu and configure all your buttons from there!

Hope that helps!!!
