Godzilla
maybe they could even make it say whatever speech it says before a level starts. I cant understand what the arcade is saying at all, so I have little doubt the 2600 could duplicate it accurately.

MegaManFan
That multi-color gradient of the label is a really nice effect. Almost holographic.

I cant understand what the arcade is saying at all, so I have little doubt the 2600 could duplicate it accurately. "Blast OFF!" And also: "Alarm! Alarm!" (or perhaps "Alert! Alert!" or even "Alart! Alart!" ) the dreaded: "Condition Red!" and: "Spy ship sighted!" (which always sounded like "Viper silence" to me ).
Xot
I always though it was "Alert," or, as you said, "Alart!" ... but I never thought it could be Alarm. I'll have to play again and check. It was years before I figured out Spy Ship Sighted, though.

CincYnoTi
Of course it's not a hack, I dumped it from an original NTSC cart. do you have a scan of the original cart? it would be a nice addition to atariage. was it one of those Taiwan/Cooper short cart things like the Mr. Postman: http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?Sof...areLabelID=1708

+Mitch
CCE? It's probably not NTSC then but PAL-M? But aren't all carts from Brazil NTSC? I think it's only the systems that are PAL-M. Mitch
slapdash
CCE? It's probably not NTSC then but PAL-M? But aren't all carts from Brazil NTSC? I think it's only the systems that are PAL-M. Hmm... That might just be a semantical issue actually... PAL-M is kind of a hybrid standard with some features of PAL, and some features of NTSC, right? But what it has in common with NTSC is actually the 60 Hz and number of lines, right? If so, it would be hard to tell the difference, and yeah, maybe "PAL-M" carts are really just "NTSC" carts after all. But I thought that PAL-M still had PAL colors, which would still be data on the cart, so I'd think that the carts might still be "different" from NTSC ones, though if they just pirated the NTSC ROMs, then they'd be the exact same BINs, but would have different colors on a TV in Brazil than they'd have here in the US... right? So you might be right, and so I apologize about bringing up PAL-M. But can anyone confirm that the colors are off? Or does PAL-M use NTSC colors too? Or does PAL-M use NTSC colors too? I can confirm that the colors on my PAL Mission 3K cart are different from the ones on CPUWIZ's NTSC cart. I don't remember exactly how right now but IIRC the asteroids were yellow on the PAL and pale blue on the NTSC....
CPUWIZ
According to this page PAL-M is the same as NTSC. http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Contrib/WorldTV.../broadcast.html

And I meant would the same cart give different colors on different TVs. According to this page PAL-M is the same as NTSC. http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Contrib/WorldTV.../broadcast.html Are you sure you copied the right link? Because I don't see on that page where it says that. Check here for PAL-M info. Okay, 99% alike. And the carts are the same as NTSC ones I infer from the bit about the daughterboard in the Brazilian 2600. So, sorry for bringing it up!
