CPUWIZ
Danke Schoen. That leaves me with a previously un-dumped NTSC version of Save Our Ship, not bad for 5 bucks.
MegaManFan
So what's the big deal about Save Our Ship? Never heard of it before this thread.
CPUWIZ
So what's the big deal about Save Our Ship? Never heard of it before this thread. It's a whack-a-mole type of game that looks very nice graphically and was released in PAL by Technovision, which from what I gather is pretty damn hard to find. You protect ladders in this game and whack pirates (or whatever they are) on top of the head when their heads pop up on top of the ladder. Haven't gotten all that far in it yet. Thomas Jentzsch
That leaves me with a previously un-dumped NTSC version of Save Our Ship... Are you sure, how many lines does it display? I have 4 dumps on my harddisk (265, 280, 290 and 312 scanlines), so at least one of those is NTSC.

Not that I care, I got an original pirate of it now.

Not at all, they are included in those complete Good2600 v1.0 romsets floating around. good2600_1.0.zip

sku_u
There's nothing there (of the titles your've displayed) thus far. Just some fun activision hacks. Nevertheless, a great find on your part

MattyXB
Yeah, 9 from 12, which I have know or found without help. But I think I am too late. PS: I have 3 Save Our Ship ROMs. And some Robin Hood ROMs which is sometimes the same, when it is not from Xonox. The Quelle Version from Robin Hood is the same as Save Our Ship. orangest
i have a 2600 jr with 32 games built in, one of which is save our ship. i bought it here in los angeles; the unit itself says made in taiwan. it has a bunch of the same games that are on that cart (flash gordon, tac-scan, bank heist, pooyan) along with some oddities (bermuda, bobby is going home, a hack of "crackpots", and nuts (another technovision game)). both sos and nuts work fine on my tv, meaning that neither of them roll. the colors might be different though. tragically, the left controller port is damaged, resulting in only being able to move the stick one way. Spirantho
tragically, the left controller port is damaged, resulting in only being able to move the stick one way. That should be a dead easy fix - probably just a pin come off the motherboard on the connector, a two-minute job with a soldering iron. Alternatively, it may be the connector itself, which is about a 15 minute job instead. Either way you should be able to salvage parts from a bog standard VCS. Incidentally, what's the most anybody's seen on a pirate console/cart? My biggest so far is 208 games - all my others (128-in-1, 444-in-1, 2001-in-1) all have 128 games on (I think they just made the numbers up because they sounded cool). Yup my 320-in-1 also has only 128 4K games. BTW: Why 208? Are there 2K or >=8K games included?

I suppose the Trade Descriptions Act doesn't really apply to shady pirate goods does it? I can't remember what's on my 208-in-1 off hand but I can dig out the list I made if you're interested. I remember that it had Combat on, though, which my 128-game ones generally don't, but I think they were mostly 4K. It's also interesting because it has a menu when you turn it on, which lets you select which game you want by number: use joystick left and right to change digit, and up and down to cycle between them. I can supply photos if you're interested (heck, I'll send someone the console if they want to dump the ROMS - as long as I get it back. ) It also plays a little tune which I think they nicked from Bobby is Going Home or something. The really weird thing about this menu thing? It doesn't work! You press fire as instructed and it just resets, you have to use the Game Select switch just like any other pirate clone. At least that menu would explain how some space was wasted. Have you been able to dump it?
