Atariboy2600
Just in case if anyone missed this I made a Parker Brothers' label for a hacked Epire Strikes Back game called Star Wars: Dark Empire. Again I used images form the origanl 1991 comic I have. Then I colored the sky and even drew the V-Wing from the Star Wars Ship's blueprints page and color it to macth the old Star Wars Parker Brothers art work.

A.J. Franzman
Picking up the theme started by 8bitclassics in post #3, I have repro original style label art for a few labels that I made for replacing missing or damaged labels on my own carts (mostly end labels). These were made using Paint Shop Pro 5 either by rebuilding from scratch (fairly simple for most end labels, using the AA scans for comparison), scanning my damaged originals and fixing them, or using AA scans of labels and boxes and reconstructing the label art from the box art. Most are in .psp format at 1200 or 600 dpi, but I can of course convert to .jpg and lower resolution if desired. The colors are tweaked to get decent output on my printer so they may need adjustment for others. I won't post the full-size files here because of their large size, but see post #85 below for 300 DPI versions. Here's a list of what I have so far: Bowling (end only; picture label version) Cookie Monster Munch (end only) Diagnostic Test Cartridge (both labels; Best Electronics version w/ my own end label design) Entombed (end only, beveled case) Frankenstein's Monster (full wraparound label) Frostbite (full wraparound) Infiltrate (end only, "standard" style) King Kong (end only) Krull (end only) M.A.D. (end only, beveled case) Pong Sports (end only, early "slanted 'S'" version) Pooyan (end portion only of wraparound label, cut just above large "Konami" logo) River Raid II (full wraparound label) Space Invaders (end label only; final text version w/ Bauhaus Demi font) Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (full wraparound) Surround (end only, # text format "41 surround") Video Pinball (end only, lowercase style) If anyone wants hi-res copies of any of these, please PM me (300 DPI versions are in post #85 below). Work in progress: Carnival (wraparound Coleco; not sure yet if this will be full or partial label) Dolphin (full wraparound) Road Runner (main label only; see post #93 below for raw scan) Powerplayer joystick by Mindscape (stick resembles Epyx 500XJ / Konix Speedking but with pistol grip and firing trigger; full wraparound label) I have barely started on any of these "in progress" labels, so if anyone has already completed versions of any of these, please post it to save me from having to duplicate the effort. 8bitclassics
Post them if you can. Would love to see them. I am finishing work on a ColecoVision template myself and will be posting it in the Classic Gaming forum when it is done. Maybe a new label thread? My 2600 labels pretty much fit the standard Colecovision cases except it is short by an 1/8 of an inch. So that just means a little extra cart showing on the end and top. If anybody knows the exact font Coleco used for standard text, that would be great. I have been using Century Gothic which is close, but not 100%. I would say 90% accurate. A.J. Franzman
All right, I'll upload 300dpi versions of my labels. Watch this space! Since I cut my own labels, the images will all have an outline to follow. If you have pre-cut labels, you can paint over the outline in the graphics program of your choice. Colors (especially in the blue-cyan-green range) have been adjusted to output reasonably accurately on my printer; you may need to readjust them to get accurate output on your own printer. Full size versions will still be avilable from me by request. Edited May 16, 2007 by A.J. Franzman

I guess that would only be if they use my labels I guess, otherwise it would be an area for them to cut around. Never, mind, just rambling

I have got it almost for free but it is without the main label (only the small one is on the cart) Here's an unretouched 600dpi scan of one I just got: There's a fairly large scratch across the top of it and some liquid stains at the bottom of the picture that you'll want to clean up before printing. I'll probably upload a cleaned-up version into post #85 above, eventually. Edited March 30, 2006 by A.J. Franzman
Atariboy2600
I think its high time for the 2600 to have a new Superman game with the new more out "Superman Returns" and I used many poster art from the film and place the many images of Superman in a old Superman 78 classic label art but mirrored to give a new look. What do you think? Should some one make a new or hack the old Superman game into Superman Return?
Rhindle The Red
What do you think? Should some one make a new or hack the old Superman game into Superman Return? Why not? It's what Bryan Singer did with the movie!
