Dones
Have you guys noticed the increasing amount of users with longer than usual signatures? One of the advantages the AA forums had before the upgrade was that it monitored signature size and limited it, prohibiting images or too many lines. Now I am seeing people use the quote tags and to a lesser extent some images (for now). Are those tidy measures gone? The new design by itself uses more space (and that's OK). Personally I think having to scroll long posts because of someone's needlessly long signature reduces the legibility, functionality and neatness of the forums. I would rather not use the ignore feature to filter those who practice this. Is there a feature that allows me to turn signatures off? What do you guys think? Albert
I agree that some people are getting a bit carried away with their signatures. As a general rule, we still do not allow images in signatures and those are usually removed pretty quickly. We've never set a hard and fast rule as far as the length of a signature, but in my opinion if it's over a few lines, it's too long. I'd need to see specific examples of signatures in order to decide if I need to ask the owners to shorten them. ..Al
