Are these Zellers style pirates (PAL)?

Hy there,

got a couple of carts recently, think they are all PAL. From the database (especially the PAL one) they look like Zellers games, although only some titles are listed and some other titles are sort of strange.

Can anyone tell me anything about these? Are these common pirates, or what?

Car race

Cracker pet

Daimon attack

Doogeem

Inca Gold

Sea Houck

Spaidder fight

Sparker Gardon

In addition, Sparker Gardon (looks like Turmoil in AA database) and Inca Gold (looks like Earth Attack in AA and like Spaker Gardon in the PAL database) have another main label beneath the one on top, any suggestions why someone would put another main label above the original one?

I had a Car race it was rolling on my set, so I figured it was PAL. It's in Germany now. ;) It did look like a cheap pirate though, box was similar to Zellers, but without the Zellers tag in corner. Not Zellers, but probably made by the same people. I think all the Zellers carts are really just cheap NTSC piratres when you get down to it. :ahoy:

Maybe it's just my funny little brain, but something about the spelling reminds me of Dutch words.

Skull island has raised it's head again, but I was thinking they were Australian pirates - if "Sea Houck" is some European release then that knocks that theory on the head.

Still, interesting finds!

Car Race might be a pirate of Night Driver.

The Car Race I had, used the artwork from Night Driver on the box, but had Activision's Grand Prix artwork on the cart label. The game itself was Traffic by RJPG. Or at least matched up with the screenshots I found online for that rom. It had RJPC in the lower corner of the screen. It had staging lights too, kind of neat.

Except for the word 'pet' there are no Dutch words to be found in these titles.

A lot of Action Hi-Tech cartridges (from Australia) have the 'Skull Island' label, so don't throw that 'theory' away.

BTW: I think 'Skull Rock' is a better name for these labels:

Any idea what's underneath the Car Race label?

I'm guessing but it may look like this underneath:

Thanks for help and comments. So far I can identify the following games from the screenshot I find at AA:

Cracker pet -> Crackpots by Activision

Daimon attack -> Demon attack by Imagic

Doogeem -> Dodge'em by Atari

Inca Gold -> Spider Maze by K-Tel

Spaidder fight -> Spider Fighter by Activision

Since the colors on my TV (PAL) are wrong, I suggest they are all NTSC carts.

Sea Houck -> Seahawk by Sancho

Looks like PAL.

I still have no idea what kind of game Sparker Gardon is, any further hints?

The Car Race I have also looks like the screenshots. What company is RJPG? On DP traffic is listed as a homevision game?

R.J.P.G. probably wrote for Home Vision.

Nobody knows where it stands for, though.

Traffic is actually Racing Car from Home Vision.

Nobody knows who came up with the name 'Traffic'.

The same goes for 'Brick Kick'.

A real mystery:

Rom Hunter, does Racing Car by Home Vision actually have the R.J.P.G. initials on screen?  I tried looking on google but could only find picture of cart, no screenshots.

I'm just curious if it's the same exact rom, or if they are different in any way?

Racing Car (Home Vision) is exactly the same ROM as Traffic (with R.J.P.G. on screen).

Hell Driver (ITT Family Games) is also exactly the same ROM as Traffic (with R.J.P.G. on screen).

The only Traffic ROM without R.J.P.G. on screen is a NTSC ROM (270 scanlines).
