+atari2600land
I'm looking for songs to sequence in MIDI format. Anyone have any suggestions? I already have: Bionic Breakthrough (prototype) Blueprint BMX Air Master Cookie Monster Munch Commando Congo Bongo Crystal Castles Custer's Revenge Desert Falcon Double Dunk Espial Fatal Run Frogger 1 & 2 Ghostbusters 1 & 2 Holey Moley (prototype) Journey Escape Jungle Hunt Jr. Pac-Man intro Kangaroo Kung Fu Master Master Builder Motorodeo Music Machine Obelix Pick 'n' Pile Popeye Private Eye Roc 'n' Rope Sentinel Skateboardin' Snoopy & the Red Baron Spike's Peak Springer Sprintmaster Squeezebox Strategy X Targ (prototype) Time Pilot Tooth Protector Tunnel Runner Tutenkhamen Up & Down Vanguard Video Reflex. If you wanna listen to them, most of them are at -www.vgmusic.com- under the Atari 2600 section, and all of them are at -midis.atari2600land.com- About vgmusic.com's Atari 2600 section, the ones I made are by Chris Read or Mr. E. I know Ballblazer isn't a 2600 game, and I know those are the wrong MIDIs for Squeezebox. I tried to tell the webmasters, but they didn't seem to care. Vic George 2K3
The Vanguard power-up music is actually derived from the Hawkmen attack theme from the 1980 Flash Gordon movie.

Dr. Morbis
You should do the balloon music from Pitfall II. It's a great little ditty but you only get to hear it for like 5 seconds at a time in the game.
+atari2600land
Balloon music in Pitfall II? And since I don't have this game, I'll need a ROM, and there doesn't seem to be any Pitfall ROMs in the AtariAge. I know there's some Activision ROMs, cuz I had Pitfall and Freeway on my computer. Anyone know where I can get some Activision ROMs? Never mind. Found it. Edited May 30, 2006 by atari2600land

I hacked Pitfall 2, and found a balloon, but the same music plays.
A.J. Franzman
You should do the balloon music from Pitfall II. It's a great little ditty but you only get to hear it for like 5 seconds at a time in the game. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I hacked Pitfall 2, and found a balloon, but the same music plays. Then you did it wrong! The music definitely changes upon catching a balloon, which is only about 1/3 of the way through the game and should take less than 5 minutes to reach if you just go directly there and don't try to get all the treasures. You know you have to jump up and grab the balloon, right? It's not an original song anyway, it's called "Over the Waves" (original title "Junto Al Manantial", also known as "Sobre Las Olas", by Juventino Rosas) and is often performed by circus bands during trapeze and other aerial acts. There's a decent midi file of it about 1/3 of the way down this page: Band Organ Melodies Edited May 31, 2006 by A.J. Franzman

+atari2600land
Moon Patrol, Pressure Cooker, Thrust Plus, Pole Position I'll do Pole Position and Thrust Plus. I tried to attach a MIDI file to these posts, but my computer wouldn't let me. I submitted Moon Patrol to the Video Game Music Archives and should be in the new files page (-=http://www.vgmusic.com/new-files/) and Pressure Cooker has already been done by someone else. A.J. Franzman
I tried to attach a MIDI file to these posts, but my computer wouldn't let me. Probably not your computer, but the board software. Try putting it in a .zip archive first.

+atari2600land
Reactor's title screen music has weird sounds in it that would be very hard to reproduce in MIDI terms. Most of the time, the MIDI sounds used in "ancient" games are Lead (Square) and Lead (Sawtooth). I'll see if I can give it a whirl, though.
