Goochman
Lance contacted me that he had limited quantities and I ordered one - I shouldve gotten it already but havent seen it. I just emailed him about it.

I just emailed him about it. I emailed them (Video 61) before, but never received a reply. What email address did you use? I used the one on their site <VIDEO61@TCQ.NET>. I'm very interested to check this out, or at least see a ROM dump.
Goochman
That is the correct address - I should have it early next week - Ill let you know what I get

+MrFish
or at least see a ROM dump well, this is very unlikely to happen, i think.... Well, yes, certainly not soon (read years). But, I would assume eventually it will, as most do.

MEtalGuy66
if someone would lend me the cart, Id dump the rom, and document the logic/banking scheme..
Goochman
$34.95 shipped - Thank you Fandal for getting this out to everyone - thats alot cheaper than what I was willing to invest in the auction!!
Goochman
Finally got a chance to play the cart today - IMHO its a great conversion. Im not an expert on the game but like other XEGS era titles its close to the arcade and very polished. I hope to get more time with it later but I cleared the first level and started the 2nd. +davidcalgary29
And mine's in the mail! I can't wait for this one...Xenophobe has always been one of my favourite Lynx games. Now will someone hurry up and find Ninja Golf and Ikari Warriors?
Tempest
I need the rom so I can review this. Of course I also want to buy the cart for my collection... Tempest
Goochman
Lets not be too hasty posted the ROM anywhere as Fandal used 2K of his own money to make sure we had the chance to own this. Lets make sure Fandal gets most of his money back before posting the ROM to everyone. $35 is peanuts for an unreleased and 99% completed game! Oh I'm going to buy the game, but I also need the rom so I can run it on the emulator for screenshot purposes. Tempest
Goochman
I can get you some screenshots off TV if that is ok? Give me a few days.
+Allan
Well I just ordered Xenophobe (Midi Maze as well). Lance said this will be the last one for a while until he can make more. I guess this cart type is hard to make. Hopefully he can make more soon so Fandal can make some more of his money back. Allan

Allas
I cant believe a game with this quality had been hidden for 20 years behind the pillow.
+davidcalgary29
And I usually try to keep an open mind with the Tramiels, but I just can't BELIEVE that they shelved this one and MIDI Maze notwithstanding the fact that they were totally amazing games. I'm thrilled that Xenophobe is available at last, though.
Goochman
Pictures also dont show how fast and smooth it plays This wouldve been a nice addition to the catalog back then.
Tempest
Did anyone keep pictures from the auction? I'd like to put a picture of the prototype on my page. I'd also like to know what the EPROM's say on them. Tempest
Tempest
My review: http://www.atariprotos.com/8bit/software/x...e/xenophobe.htm Bottom line, it's a terrific conversion! I'm shocked at how good it is. If you liked the arcade game, you'll want to play this version. Tempest
