Red 5
So I recently hit 500 NTSC atari games. While I have the fun rare titles like Tooth Protectors, Water World, Qubes etc., probably the rarest thing I have in my collection is my complete in box Glacier Patrol. Why? Try to get one. Go ahead. I dare you. I know it says rarity 4, but I have had Ebay set up to e-mail me whenever Glacier Patrol or Universal Chaos comes up for sale. In the title OR in the description. In a year Glacier Patrol has come up twice. I lost the first time. Won the second time. Universal Chaos? Zero times. Zilch. Nada. Close to a year and none of them show up. So what's the deal here. What is the REAL rarity of these guys. I know Telegames was selling them up until a few years ago, but there cannot possibly be that many made. We would see them on Ebay. If you can get Crazy Climber any day of the week (if you are willing to pay for it) then we should see the occasional Glacier Patrol too, no? Edit: I search for them loose. I am not searching for them complete in boxes. I just got lucky that when one finally came up it was complete in box. Bonus! I would have gladly taken it loose. black dog
I brought this up awhile ago, that Glacier Patrol should be given a higher rarity. I got my cib copy a couple of years ago before Telegames stopped selling games. Definetly should be higher then a 4. I would say a 7 would be more accurate. rsiddall
Seems like I bought my copy (from Telegames) around the time of their flood disaster when they lost most of what they had warehoused.
Crazy Climber
Although they are ultra rare I have a feeling that some extras are out there somewhere???

homerwannabee
Definetly this was one of my better finds of all time. I got mine the last time they sold them at the 2003 CGE. Believe it or not I thought $20 for my sealed copy was on the high side for a rarity 4 game. But for some reason I no longer think that. BTW how much did you pay for it. I tried looking it up on ebay and I could not find it. Also Digitalpress actually has this game as a rarity 8 game. I think that is more reflective of its true rarity. Red 5
I actually got it last month. I got it for much less than I was willing to pay for it so I'm happy. You can see it here. This is why I was so happy when Al put up that 3 Telegames deal a while back. I went from 0 Telegames to 4 boxed complete Telegames in less than a week . I mean 500 games and I had ZERO Telegames. Now for Universal Chaos.... (Thanks jboypacman... it's been a long road...)

I think the price was low because of this guys refusal to use Paypal and the fact that he is in Canada. I noticed a lot of the rarer games he had for sell were going for a lot cheaper than they should of.
video game addict
Also that seller had many PAL games as well as NTSC and hardly any were labeled as such. I finally settled on the PAL versions of these two for my collection. Luckily my tv can play both formats fine.
Christophero Sly
I picked up Glacier Patrol in a large lot on ebay several years ago. I guess I got lucky.

I saw that auction but didn't feel like taking a risk on a potential PAL cart out of Canada. Good deal for you!
birdie3
Yeah, I'm still looking for a NTSC CIB Glacier Patrol myself. I saw that auction but didn't feel like taking a risk on a potential PAL cart out of Canada. Good deal for you! Strange that you would get any PAL carts from Canada seeing as we solely utilize the NTSC standard.

Yeah, but the seller had collected a wide variety of stuff including a lot of PAL and Brazilian titles. I bought a few PAL carts of him too. It's a little odd also but I've bought two PAL lots off of Canadian sellers lately. One advertised as PAL, and the other just as games, but it was stocked with "P" end labels so I could tell by looking at it that it probably wasn't NTSC. rsiddall
Here's my three from Telegames: *I left out Superkicks (Chuck Norris)
gospeedde
Congrats! I've been looking for Glacier Patrol and Night Stalker for ever and I'm obscenely proud of my Universal Chaos considering it's rarity. I keep harassing Telegames to try to get them to sell them to me, but they're having none of it.
