atarilovesyou
Remember this game for the NES? Made by Activision, I always wondered if the 2600 could play a version of it. I mean the graphics seemed pretty retro, even for the NES at the time. I'm sure this has been brought up before. Anybody?..thanks!
vdub_bobby
It could probably be done, since it is a non-scrolling platformer without many sprites, most screens have nothing other than the boy and the blob and the platforms. It isn't the most popular game, though, so you'd probably have to look far and wide to find someone who (a) can write 2600 games and (b) likes A Boy And His Blob enough to port it. +batari
I think MausBoy designed some sprites and may have done some preliminary coding on this game. Not sure how far he got, though there is a topic about it somewhere.

Of course, there is the lava lamp demo he did...

atarilovesyou
I thought perhaps a Pitfall 2 engine...but the blob would be kinda challenging. It's a puzzle game after all, there wouldn't be a need for too many animated sprites. Some ideas for the homebrewers out there....I have yet to see an "Activision"-like homebrew...but then again I've only seen a few!
