I'm sooo happy that the game got polished off instead of the usual process of releasing unfinished protos (like Elevator Action) that had so much potential but were just shy of greatness. :):):):)

From the email:

"With the help of John Payson, we decided to go ahead and clean up some of the code in the game. One thing led to another, a few bugs were swatted, remaining memory was surveyed, and we decided to add some new levels to the original game. At this point the game is done and we are waiting for our friends at Atari Age to get us the first run of production carts. All in all, I think the current game provides a significantly better play experience now then it did when I first decided to release the game late last year."

I got an e-mail too.

I can't wait.

More levels is a good reason for a delay.

After Tunnel Runner, Fathom is my favorite 2600 game.

And who doesn't love Missile Command, Demon Attack, Cosmic Ark or Night Driver.

Mr. Fulop is one of the best in my book.

No offense to the great homebrews out there, but it sure is cool to

have one of the original programmers releasing a new 2600 game.
