Kaz atarionline.pl
Knight Lore demo is available now (A8S file - emulator memory shot - here). Please report bugs and small improvment ideas.
Rybags
Improvement idea - don't put stuff up as Save State files. I can't get it to work properly since Save State files just don't work properly between different versions of the emulator. Tried on 4.0 and the network enabled 4.2 (id's as 4.1). From what I saw of screenshots, looked good.
Allas
Looks great!, it could be better a xex or atr version to test on real machines.

Goochman
Neat Airball like game - though I cant quite figure out how to play? I keep dieing.
deathtrappomegranate
Neat Airball like game - though I cant quite figure out how to play? I keep dieing. You have to find the cauldron room, near the centre of the environment. In the Spectrum version, you had to enter the room as a human, not a werewolf, and an image of an object would appear above the cauldron. You then had to find that object and get it to the cauldron. Get 14 objects to the cauldron in the proper order, and you win. In the Spectrum version, again, the order of the 14 objects was always the same, but the starting point in the list of 14 objects was random. I expect that the game logic is similar Spectrum->BBC->Atari.
Allas
Knight Lore is one of my favorites games that I'll awaiting too see ported. This version looks better than Spectrum and do justice to Atari CPU capabilities.
Irgendwer
But, I don't like the title screen... If favored, I could do a G2F conversion of the (IMHO nicer) Amstrad title screen... CU Irgendwer
emkay
But, I don't like the title screen... If favored, I could do a G2F conversion of the (IMHO nicer) Amstrad title screen... CU Irgendwer Come on... this "nicer" screen is done in less than 5 minutes for the ATARI, while the actual screen took several days to finish. We chose already not to use the worse Amstrad Tilte. Actually, Chrodegang doesn't like the screen because I made it. It's up to XXL what he wants, because he is the coder.
Irgendwer
Come on... this "nicer" screen is done in less than 5 minutes for the ATARI,... I like to see THAT! (I've just pressed the button on my stop watch... ) while the actual screen took several days to finish. <unfair statement removed>. Please don't take this personal, (I didn't even notice your name in the image) but I thought also that this conversion could be better. Actually, Chrodegang doesn't like the screen because I made it. Upps, I forgot these sensitivities. I shut up (almost). It's up to XXL what he wants, because he is the coder. Of course. I just tried to be supportive. Thanks - my bigger problem is the few rooms next to the beginning - the chair room with the spikey balls on top, all I can do is push and jump and therefore die. The room to the north where the blocks are moving - when I jump there is a bit of extra movement to stop and I always die on that also. Any difference between Knight and Wolf or just for final room? emkay
Taking the result into account, this is hard to believe. Please don't takethis personal, (I didn't even notice your name in the image) but I thought also that this conversion could be better. How a bout a deal? You show us something better that is ... a) fitting to the A8s restrictions b) fitting to the style of the A8 version of the game c) using the limitations of G2F. Not fitting to the game is: Colour mode(160 x192) Huge size If it is better, well, XXL may use your picture. I have no problems with it, though I won't be angry (or else ) . If only the A8 get's the best what's possible.
analmux
Actually, Chrodegang doesn't like the screen because I made it. It's indeed striking that his 'negative' comments are only aimed at a few people here The best thing might be to just ignore it.
Chrodegang
Actually, Chrodegang doesn't like the screen because I made it. Oh my god. I don't like the colored screen of the Spectrum version either. Both screens use colors in a strange way. Not fitting to the game is: Colour mode(160 x192) ... I disagree. Mixing colour & monochrome modes can lead to very convincing effects which I would use to enhance the image (e.g. top and bottom part of the border). Anyhow, here an example which follow your rules. Since I do not like to spend time for superfluous work (I would do the Amstrad conversion if there would be a chance for deployment), I decided to take the title pic for one of the next games in XXLs pipeline (please confirm ) - hoping that the time spend was not useless....
