anny84
Hi, Is there an official list for Atari games already compatible with Starpath Supercharger, without modding it or the games? Thanks Annarella Carano
Wickeycolumbus
There are (as far as I know) games that work on an unmodified supercharger other than the original games programmed for the super charger. BUT, this link takes you to a thread where there are many games that have been hacked to work with the supercharger. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...ercharger+hacks
anny84
Thank you for that link, anyway, having a list with all starpath-already-compatible games (without hacking) could be useful. Trying every game with wplaybin could require so much time, especially if someone already did it However, thank you again for your help Annarella Carano

anny84
Your welcome Thanks Well, according to this topic: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=90478 I understood there's a set of 2k/4k rom loadable thru starpath without troubles or crashes. But, since troubles can occur during the game and not at the startup, I hoped someone already checked all games and made a compatibility list. Nukey Shay
I dont think that ANY unmodded games work with the supercharger other than the supercharger games. Incorrect. I'd guess at least half of the unhacked/unedited 4k games should work on unmodded hardware. It all depends on if/when the ROM addresses that the SC uses as the "hotspot" bankswitch trigger & R/W control are accessed. Virtually all of the 2k games should work after doubling them in size. The original programs do not use ROM addresses high enough to interfere with the hotspot trigger. If your scope of the word unmodded includes simply converting binary ROMs to SC-compatable audio files, then yeah.

ovalbugmann
I've got such a list. Check your PMs. Could you send a copy of that list in PM to me too? I am new to the SC also and it would be a great help, I don't have a Cuttle Cart or a Kroko Cart or a Chimera Cart or a eeprom burner or any 2600 flash cards to load different games on - just a SC. Then I can tell what game rom is more likely to load correctly. Thanks in advance! Edited April 11, 2008 by ovalbugmann
Mark Wolfe
I've got such a list. Check your PMs. hey hey, no whispering, post it publicly please
tkarner
Ok, ok. Here's the list. I was just reluctant to post it publicly because I cannot guarantee that all the games work. It's just a list of games that appear to work. A few years ago when I had some spare time (during a brief stint of unemployment) I tried as many games on the SC as I could. As you may know, just because a game loads up fine on a SC doesn't mean it will completely work. It may crash at random much later in the game. For example, if I recall correctly, Demon Attack will play one level fine and then crash. If anyone finds any game on the list that crashes, let me know and I'll remove it from the list. I just don't want angry messages like "You idiot, I was working on a high score and then the game crashed!" Also, if you have a game that works that is not on the list, let me know. The list is just a dump of a directory so it contains bin filenames, not full game titles but it should be easy to figure out most of them. There are probably a couple of homebrews and prototypes on the list too. Another resource is this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...charger%20hacks That's where Nukey has been posting games that he modified to work on the Supercharger. His modded games are not included on my list. SuperChargerList.txt
