Dal_1978
Old thread needs updating. I just got one of these in the past couple of weeks. It's installed, working and here's an image of the Release Disk (v1.86). I have no idea if any later release disks were released - the manual and readme file suggests there was more to come. Dal_1978
Here's a small page on the SST. I have scanned the manual and uploaded the disk image there too: http://www.septicsurgeon.net/Gadgets_By_Small_SST.html
+slx
I remember seeing the SST at a big Atari fair in Germany in the early 90s (I think it was in Cologne and its almost unbelievable today that there once was an entire fair with thousands and thousands of square feet dedicated to Atari and nothing but Atari…) As far as I remember Dave Small was there in person and showed me the gear and I even got an "I saw the world's fastest Atari ST" button with an SR.71 on it. Cool gear. I don't recall the price but wasn't going to buy it anyway as I had a TT at that time. Thanks for compiling the information!
Thorsten Günther
The Atari Messe took place in Düsseldorf (IIRC the last "real", i.e. big one was in 1993). Close enough, though, although the local rivalry between Cologne and Düsseldorf would make this error a dangerous one for us Germans. rustynutt
The card itself would be historic. I do have the button.
