emkay
Generator "2" clocked at 1.79Mhz gives an interesting option of having a clear high sounding. But, listening to it all the time makes the listener yawn, when using it continously. The sound is not very good to handle when it comes to the volume. It is too loud in general comparing it to POKEY's other soundgenerators. Overall the sound is very metallic which makes it good for some percussion, or, if wanted, for having some tinkering bell. It also could be useful in an "arpeggio" with the standard pokey clocking at 64khz or 15khz for spreading the instrument's frequency range. (sorry, not available in RMT and still missed in the tune) Some hardsynth base-sound ist put together for an impression(still some timing issues) The overall thing is not that bad, referring to the given possibilities. So you might have a listen to the transitions inside the tune, they are not possible with "16 bit bass generators"... geisha.zip
Allas
Great work! Sounds very original considering is a POKEY chip. With "Progressive Dream" are my favorites.
pepax
I don't understand the technical details at all but I do like the song! (No disappointment, unlike the Dune tune for example...)
