Mirage
I don't understand where your girlfriend is coming from It doesn't look like that much stuff... just get a plastic tote or maybe 2, put everything in it, and stick it all in the basement, or a closet or wherever (preferably not the garage), (edit: also, the short ones would be good for that stuff... 1 or 2 of them and they could slide right under a bed) and it's out-of-sight out-of-mind for now. If this was your dad's stuff, and something you've continued collecting, and it means anything to you, you may regret selling it later. I had some stuff of my dad's that I sold not long after high school that I regret selling (I have more, so it's okay). If she's thinking you're gonna get rich off selling this stuff, you're not. The stuff you have isn't worth a ton. You do have a lot of doubles though. Maybe just sell all the doubles as a lot on ebay to thin it out a little bit, especially the consoles, as they take up the most space. /unsolicited advice. stingray2772
Well... part of the problem is that this is just the Atari stuff. I also similar collections on NES, SNES, N64, PS1, DC, GAME BOY... I may thin out the doubles, and keep a console as well as a few games that were my fathers. I really have no idea how much this stuff was worth, but the majority of the collection doesn't mean too much to me because I just got it from friends and yard sales. Thanks for the advice though. Mirage
Oh, see, I didn't realize you were a serial collector like me. That makes sense. Just keep a console and a few games that were your fathers and that's good enough then!

Crazy Climber
I really have no idea how much this stuff was worth Most of the atari 2600 games are pretty common, 50 cents to $1, if you can find someone that needs them. Like I said, they are pretty common. You would probably be better off just selling the whole thing as a lot either here or Ebay...or the new auction site that is just for videogames www.chasethechuckwagon.com

I'd like to sell them in sets of 10 (easier shipping)... I'll probably end up keeping 10 games and couple of joysticks. Updated price for weekend 15 for 10 shipped, you pick the 10 from the list on post 6 (not post 1). If you want to pick up more, make an offer. stingray2772
THE PONG WORKS!!! I don't believe it... I took the battery case off, noticed there were batteries in it (I thought this thing was just this heavy).. the batteries were popped out a little, as soon I pushed them back in it started beeping. Of course somebody chopped the connector off the video, but I wired it in (see picture), and sure enough it came up on the screen. This is freaking sweet. Still for sale, but I never personally saw one running. Also the battery eliminator is dead, when plugged in it humms, but no output voltage I will clean this thing up, seems to be in great shape except for the plug being cut off, should be easy enough to fix though. stingray2772
I'm re terminating the ends on the systems so that it is more original (rca plug). Make an offer on this stuff...
Mirage
You have to realize that everything you have is more-or-less in the super common range, and you're on an Atari collector site, so most people here have all of those. Your best bet, as I think someone already suggested (maybe?) would be to put together a lot with a system, fully tested and cleaned, and put it up for auction (on ebay, or maybe CTCW). It's sometimes even hard to GIVE away super common stuff here.
shadow460
More unsolicited advice: Your Freeway cart is not dead. It sounds as if the board needs to be reflowed. My 3 cents.
