Broken Consoles, Computers, and Other Hardware

I'm hoping these can either be fixed up and then find good homes, or at least make good parts machines. Some of these have been stripped already, but may should still have plenty of usable bits inside. You can assume these machines aren't in the best aesthetic condition either, though they are still in one piece with nothing actually missing, except where noted. If you see anything that interests you, you can make me an offer either for cash or a trade. In some cases I could be persuaded to chip in some of the shipping.

  • Apple IIc - The internal floppy drive is bad, and the "/" key has broken off the keyboard. Otherwise it works.
  • Dead, Stripped Atari 2600, 4-Switch Woody - I honestly can't remember what this system's issue was. I snarfed the A/V cable and the spring from the reset switch. Everything else is here, though the reset switch needs to be reassembled (with a new spring).
  • Commodore 64 - The power jack is flaky, and it may have a bad sound chip. Otherwise it works.
  • Four Commodore 1541 Disk Drives - One has alignment issues (I never did learn how to fix that). Two power up but won't stop spinning the disk. One powers up but doesn't spin the disk at all.
  • Two Dead Commodore VIC-20s - Neither will power up at all. One also has a broken power LED connection, a missing fuse holder, and a broken connection to the expansion port jumper. Both also have one broken key on the keyboard.
  • Sega Genesis, Early "High Definition Graphics" Model 1 - This system needs a new power jack, and maybe a new internal cable connecting the jack to the motherboard. I was trying to repair this one myself before I discovered the jack is worse off than I thought, and really should be replaced. I then tried to desolder the jack from the cable, and didn't do a very good job of it. At that point I gave up. When getting power, the system works fine.
  • Dead Sega Genesis 32X - I can't get it to play at all.
  • Box of Broken Controllers - Controllers for various systems in various states of repair. Some have had parts removed, but there is still plenty of usable bits here. Atari, Nintendo, Sega, first-party, third-party, and so on. Picture here.

post-6115-1235960334_thumb.jpg

"Choose Your Own Adventure" books - various conditions, but all are intact with no missing pages or covers - $1 each

  • #13 - The Abominable Snowman - book fair edition

post-6115-1235960339_thumb.jpg

Stock Car Die-Casts, Still in Packaging - Eight die-casts from Hot Wheels, made in 1997, and one die-cast from Racing Champions, made in 1992. The cardboard backings for these have varying degrees of warping and creasing, but none of the packaging has been open or torn. Make me an offer.

post-6115-1236649814_thumb.jpg

Garbage Pail Kids Stickers, Pins and Postcard - The stickers are from various series, starting with the 3rd. The 6th and 8th series are best represented, but no series is quite complete. Lots of duplicates, especially for the 6th series. Most cards are showing their age, with minor yellowing, corner fraying, and so on. A few stickers are missing borders or have other such issues. Also included are a few stickers from the attempted GPK restart, published a few years back. Four pins and one postcard-sized GPK are also here. Make me an offer.

post-6115-1236649825_thumb.jpg

Topps Cards from Movies, TV Series, and More - Cards from a whole bunch of different series, mostly tie-ins with '80s movies and TV shows. Some wrappers, too. The best-represented sets are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (very nearly complete, lots of dupicates), Superman III (maybe 75% complete), Gremlins (40-50% complete) and Howard the Duck (40-50% complete). Also includes cards from The A-Team, Batman, Dick Tracy, Jurassic Park, The Little Shop of Horrors, The Rocketeer, Supergirl, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, and others. I even found one wrapper from the Donkey Kong card series, but sadly no cards. Cards are in various conditions, but most are in pretty good shape for their age. Make me an offer.

Coming Soon - I'll get pictures, descriptions and prices up as soon as I can, but in the meantime feel free to PM me if something looks interesting.

  • Some 5200 and 7800 game manuals and boxes.
  • Sealed Atari 5200 titles. The boxes have shelf wear (crushing, shrinkwrap warping, and so on). Some are worse than others, but all are unopened and unplayed.
  • Lots of broken game hardware.

A certain AtariAge moderator in good standing claimed those, so I believe they will be devoted to the cause. :)

Business has been brisk! Thank you again, everyone!

More stuff added now, including additional Genesis games, plus Game Gear games, a couple of Game Boy offerings, and lots of 8-bit computer games. I must apologize to those who were asking about Genesis games before now. I was pretty sure I had a stash of loose cartridges somewhere, but it wasn't until today that I remembered for certain, when I finally dug them out of the closet!

I need to take some new pictures, but, I'll save that for the new day. More is still to come!
