I then smeared "Edsel" in the excrement, but somehow, I don't think I'll convince anyone it's the same as the infamous automobile, even though it looks and smells similar. But on the other hand, I don't really see a great deal of sense in a PC that doesn't know if it's a desktop or laptop. With a laptop, you're sacrificing expandabiltiy (graphics especially) for the abiilty to use it anywhere. It's a PC in a custom case, with a C= emulator in ROM... It's kewl that they have actually gotten a new case injection molded, and a nice clicky keyboard made.. Other than that, it's just a PC... They also have "Amiga's" on their website which are just HTPC cases. Again, pointless. Rybags Posted April 5, 2011 Share Posted April 5, 2011 Plenty will buy it. So long as the tooling cost gets covered, they might make a nice profit on the thing. 1450 PC - no way. That'd make as much sense as bolting a keyboard permanently to the front of a horizontal desktop case. One of the biggest "likes" of modern PCs for me is that you can move the keyboard to any angle you want, and there's only 1 cable to worry about. A newly-minted *actual* 64 system - like a C-One (or similar) inside there with a 1541 Ultimate-type-thingy built in, and component/HDMI-out would be a better deal. Unfortunately, the market is probably limited for either. However, they sold so damn many C64s that the nostalgia they're shooting for with the PC-creation might be about the same for a "real" modern 64. Maybe not. At $200 they'd get some takers, not $600-up. This is probably going to be a failed experiment.
