What kind of 2600 Jr. Pirate / Clone is this?

I found this 2600 Jr. pirate / clone today at a flea market. It works ok with cartridges, but I'm not sure if it a multi built-in game (i.e. 32-in-1 or 520-in-1) unit like the ones on the 2600 hardware page. If it is a multi-game unit then I obviously don't know how to access the built-in games.

 

There's no manufacturer's name on the board.

The chips are numbered: (top to bottom) UM6532 (8722S)

UM6507 (8722S)

C10444

 

The sticker on the bottom says: Series No.: 000478

Model No.: S-501

 

Anyone else have one of these? And if so is the serial number the same? I can't imagine pirate operations going to the trouble of printing sequential serial number sticker labels.

I don't know, but you probably shouldn't to insert cartridges where it says "Insert Cartridge Here".

Gotta love that high-tec, futuristic name.

 

Have you tried turning it on without a cart in it? Other than that, I have no idea how to tell.

This is the standard 3 chip design, there is no additional ROM or EPROM on board to hold built in games, it's just a clone.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease CPUWIZ. I was almost delerious in dreaming that it was actually a 2600-in-1 unit after looking at the number on the panel.

I like the almost Atari Font they used on the front. The clone looks like its in good shape. Weather a clone or the original, it still plays Atari games. Can't be all that bad!
