ZZTOP SOFT
hi pals I build an eprom burner very cheap. Yo he hecho un grabador de eproms por muy poco dinero: how to bouild an eprom burner? check this tips: Como construir un grabador de eproms?, vean estos datos: 1- you need a computer 800XL, 65XE or 130XE 1- necesitas un computador 800xl 65xe o 130xe 2- you need 4 basic lines of control to operate the burner: A= clear counters, B=adress up, C= read/write, D=rec pulse 2- necesitas 4 lineas de control para operarlo: A=borra contadores, B=avanza la direccion, C=lectura o escritura, D=pulso de grabación. If you have the skills to do that, i send you the information. Si tienes la habilidad para intentar hacerlo te enviare la informacion. Even in Basic is very easy to operate this, but if you want speed, need to use ASM. Incluso en Basic es muy facil de operar, pero si necesitas velocidad, hay que usar Asambler. You want schematics? later, if anybody askme for. Necesitas los esquematicos, luego los pondre, si es que alguien me los pide. sino, para que. No problem to cheer my work. No tengo problema en compartir mi trabajo. Crew: Bill yesterday, Willem, Bones Collector Made in Chile. ZZT [/img]
Susuwatari
That looks interesting but I doubt it'd be easy to transfer the BIN from your Mac or PC to Atari computer for burning. Plus I don't think it can burn a wide variety of EPROMs. (anyone know of one that can burn 2708? That sucker requires +25v and -25v to burn!) ZZTOP SOFT
that burner read or burn eproms of series 27C form 27C32 to 27C8008 27C08 and 27C16 and 27C32 are to old and useless, for me. I transfeer the data from the PC to the Atari with the cable SIO-2-PC, this way is the most easy to do. An eprom burner conected to the Atari is very cheap, comparated with a PC burner. That is the most important point to the hobby-guys. ZZT
Blinky
I build an eprom burner very cheap. Love The LEDs. Looking at the picture I'd say you use a buffer two counters ICs (393?) and a decoder. Dip switches for High Banks and switches for programing (voltage) ? Love to see a schematic. I'm always looking for new ideas.
ZZTOP SOFT
I love the LEDs too. - The big switch are use to set the REC VPP, or normal (to read only) - I am using 3# 74LS393 binary counters for the EPROM directions (A0 to A19). - Using the Joysticks ports (D0 to D7), DATA FLOW to or from EPROM, remember, that stuff read or write, is not only a burner.. - Dipswitch is for the different combinations of pins. - The LEDs is for being verifying that everything goes well. I dont use bank switching, the adress goes in normal secuence. One Adr==> One Data ==> One Rec pulse ==>return ZZT
Blinky
I get the picture now. Thanks.
