Retrofan
I don't want to tease ore bore you but here is another mockup screen. Cybergoth had the Idea (http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56651) and I made a screen. This is a new version witch could be more doable (but I don't know). Now the bombs are playfield objects to reduce the number of sprites. Please give comments. Original arcade: And my 2600 version:
Cybergoth
Hi there! This is a new version witch could be more doable (but I don't know). Should be doable 1:1. Very good design. You're really good at this! Greetings, Manuel
Retrofan
Thank you very much. It's a pity that I can't code assembler
Retrofan
This last version is a little bit more simple (no left and right borders) and the vertical adjustment of the objects is more like the arcade version: (and I updated my mockup page with some graphics) http://www.haddewig.de/vcs/index.html
moderntimes99
(and I updated my mockup page with some graphics) http://www.haddewig.de/vcs/index.html Looks great... I would especially like a 2600 version of Solomon's Key... thats one of my very favourites of all times... Best regards, Moderntimes99
Cybergoth
Hi there! Ah, I think I've already seen the Pang screen, but Bomberman is new, or? Greetings, Manuel
Retrofan
correct, Bomberman is new. But there are to many colors (3 with black) in one scanline so it would't work. (I thought 2 colors plus black (= no raster line) are ok but it's not)
liveinabin
I'd love to see Bomberman on the 2600! That game rules.

yuppicide
I would like to see Bomberman, Bomb Jack, and also Solomon's Key on the 2600. Solomon's Key would be hard I would imagine. It has a lot of secrets in the game and a lot of levels.
Retrofan
If you like it, here is a new mockup screen (little animation) of Bomberman2600 (now with only 2 colors in one scanline so it could work):
