lvanett
Hey all, Has anyone ever thought of making a 2600 version of Midway's classic "Galaga"? I grew up playing this game A LOT in the arcades, and later on our Commodore 64. I know there's a BIN of Galaga for the 2600 and I originally thought that was it, but it's something different. The closest I've come to it is Galaxian (and the improved hacks). Anyway, is it possible? Has anyone considered this? Just curious. Feralstorm
Probably possible with a lot of flicker, since Galaga had more complex "formation flying" aliens than Galaxian. I'd bet the "expanding & contracting" main group of aliens would have to be simplified motion-wise. Or you can get a 7800 and play Galaga on it. holygrailvideogames.com
I always have wanted to see Galaga on the 5200 or Colecovision. Maybe one day OPCODE will port this great game to the Colecovision.
