Buyatari
Atari 2600 with protos Anyone contact this guy for pictures? Is this the real deal.
Mindfield
If the guy worked for Atari, what was he doing with beta copies of other company's stuff? Atari didn't have a third-party QC department; they didn't review other company's games prior to approval and release, nor did they have access to them. Seems fishy to me. video game addict
I'm guessing eproms & a zif socket.
Mindfield
I'm guessing eproms & a zif socket. 907587[/snapback] Probably, but that still begs the question of where he got all these unreleased items, unless he knew some guy that worked for a magazine or something that got lots of review material, or he himself worked for one. Slim chance these are real lab loaners, especially with such a wide and eclectic assortment. I'd put my money on the ZIF socket and EPROMs too. video game addict
Well alot of the eproms I've seen with the zif socket carts have funky titles on them. Probably bootlegs, and just hand-me-downs without the proper names listed on them. The 'beta' and 'type II' and such I don't really know, but I still think most likely pirated junk & no real treasure here. Really some of those names are virtual unknowns so what the hell could they be? And that many in one auction? It's be more believable if it wasn't so many oddball names. Also the seller responded to my question as to whether these were carts or chips: most of the games are chips. i've played with them for more than 20 years and they work great! some of the games are in carts. I was really hoping to see pics but oh well.. Edited August 9, 2005 by video game addict

FND
I emailed the seller with the following questions. Hi, I am interested in this auction but have a few questions. Are these games in cases or are they just eprom chips that are replaceable in a ZIF socketed cart if so how many separate chips are there? Also I live in Fremont and if I won would it be possable to meet you somewhere to complete the deal, I would be paying cash? Do you have any pictures or scans of the items I would be willing to bid more if I could see them? Thanks in advance I will let you all know what kind of response I get
holygrailvideogames.com
It always bothers me when the seller doesn't have any feedback as a seller and there are no pictures posted. Without pictures I am hesitant to bid too much.

The chips can all be played as-is though. the eproms are on silicon - basically its the whole game minus the plastic shell. Sounds like they are all just common games on loose game boards were someone misslabled the titles because they did not no the true game title Notice no mention of whether I could pick them up or about pictures or scans. This is all to vague and I would not risk it.

Ken Meoni
Looks like Topol thinks they are real. Check out the bids from him. I asked for pictures, no response. I guess if Topol wins we can ask him what he received, but someone is beating him out right now.

Some of the items that he has bid on I can't see anyway possible for him to be making money on them.

Almost every one I have had an interest in. But, what the hey. Some he wins, some I win and we all respect each other. It's been pretty hard reselling with all the competition. I hope this stuff turns out good for him. He's an ok seller.
