neotokeo2001
COSMIC TUNNEL HUNTER You are a Bounty Hunter out to make a few bucks. The highest bounties can be found on the Aliens that have been discovered living in Cosmic Tunnels. The small guys will get you some money but the real payday lies with the BIG GUY's that can be found deeper inside the tunnels. Oh Yeah, The tunnels are highly RADIOACTIVE so you had better hope your shields hold up. DOWNLOAD BIN: Cosmic_Tunnel_Hunter.zip DIRECTIONS: THE CONTROLS: Tilt the joystick forward to increase your speed or backward to slow down or back up slightly. Your ship is equipped with technology's finest laser. Press the joystick button to fire. Hold the button down for continuous fire. You may pause the game at any time during the play by flipping the Color/B-W switch. PLAY OPTIONS There are six play options which can be selected at any time by pressing the Game Select lever. OPTION 1 = Normal Game OPTION 2 = Extended Normal Game OPTION 3 = Difficult Version For Advanced Players OPTION 4 = Extended Difficult Version OPTION 5 = Easy Game for Beginners OPTION 6 = Extended Easy Game In the extended option, the first five zones of the tunnel are longer. In the dificult options, you will face more enemies on your journey to the BIG GUY. In the easy options, collisions cause less damage to the shield and there is no time penalty. Each time you bag a BIG GUY, you move deeper into the tunnel in search of more bounties. SCREEN DISPLAY/SCORING While in the Demo Mode, the play option is shown at the top of the screen. The score is displayed there while the game is in play. A Time Clock is located in the bottom left corner of the screen. A shield monitor is located in the bottom center and a BIG GUY tally is in the bottom right corner. EACH TIME YOUR SHIP CRASHES INTO ANY OBJECT, THE SHIELD LOSES STRENGTH. Every time the Time Clock completes a cycle, the shield also loses strength. When your shield is depleted you lose your ship and the game is over. Points are awarded for shooting aliens and bonus points are gained for completeing each zone. The stronger the shield is upon completion, the higher the bonus. ZONES/OBSTACLES: No matter which play option you choose, you will have to travel through several zones to reach your goal, the BIG GUY. When you enter the tunnel for the first time you will travel thru zones 1,2,5 and 6. Zone 3 is added on journey to the second BIG GUY. From your third voyage on, you must navigate all six zones. ENERGY PACK: You should attempt to shoot any pack you see in order to restore energy to your shield. Energy Packs are the only way you can restore lost strength to the shield. Allowing one to pass you by has no adverse effects. ENFORCER: These are released when your ship touches the cave wall. Destroy as many as possible for those allowed to pass by will steal energy from your shield. ZONE 1: Sentrys line the cave walls and attack as you approach. You may blast these with your laser for points, The shields are not harmed if they pass by. ZONE 2: Welcome to the mine field. Try not to shoot or touch them as their destruction will also drain your shield energy. Remember, DO NOT SHOOT MINES!! ZONE 3: Shield Reapers are waiting for you here. Any allowed to pass will drain your shield. You must shoot the deadly Shield Reapers three times to totally eliminate them. A partially damaged Reaper allowed to pass will cause less damage to the shield than a whole Reaper. ZONE 4: Sentrys, Mines, and Shield Reapers are all present in this very challenging zone. ZONE 5: As you near your goal, you will find that the cave begins to narrow. You must try to navigate throught ZONE 5 without touching the cave wall. ZONE 6: Small Barriers appear as you get closer to the BIG GUY. You must steer carefully through the indestructable barriers to reach the BIG GUY. Be careful! Running into a BIG GUY is fatal to you. FIFTEEN laser blasts are required to destroy him. All fifteen shots must be fired before the Shield energy runs out. After destroying the BIG GUY you move on to the next zone. neotokeo2001
Pretty much just a graphic hack of Fantastic Voyage. I did change the movement patterns on the enemies to make it a little harder.
