8BIT 1337
I thought it might be fun to change the name of the teams from "VSTR" to "JAYS" (since I always think of the blue team as the Blue Jays) so I looked at the exe in XVI32 for the text and found nothing. I also looked for the ATASCII combination of "VSTR" and "COMP" and likewise came up with nothing. Can anyone point me to what I'm missing? I'd also want to change the "out of town scoreboard" if possible (don't want a Blue Jays score coming up there if I'm in the middle of one, now do I?) Any help will be greatly appreciated! Kroah
The VSTR string is coded like this: | V S T R | $36 $33 $34 $32 And JAYS will be: | J A Y S | $2A $21 $39 $33 I have found 5 occurences of the VSTR string in my disk image at addresses: $2400 $2681 $38CE $4C0B $4E40 After replacing them, the game plays fine with the new name. I've attached the modified disk. Regards, Pascal Star_League_Baseball___Jays.zip
8BIT 1337
That is just awsome - thanks! I've taken that bit of information and run with it, changing bits of text throughout the game. It's now called "Blue Jays vs Tigers" with a different trivia question and proper AL/NL alignments (i.e. Blue Jays and Brewers scores will no longer show up on the AL side, and Expos scores will no longer show up on the NL side). I'll save the new trivia question (plus team name changes) as a surprise Let me know what you think!
