  1. hi there subQmod, great work indeed! smac works so great. as SCPCD already pointed out, there's still a bug with the _TEXT_E, _DATA_E, _BSS_E symbols, which get created according to your sourcecode and also the map-file when linking with SLN. nonetheless it reports "unresolved symbols: _BSS_E" as accessed in alloc.c for instance. i have a workaround which is however not very elegant...and as pointed out, according to the sourcecode it's supposed to work as it does with ALN when it comes to using these internal symbols. kind regards, ray//.tSCc.
  2. cooolness! i got BJL running under windows XP now....thanks to all your advice. regards, ray
  3. ok, how to get in touch with him then? regards, ray
  4. hi again, i have now installed giveio.sys (i'm using windows XP) but the upload still refuses to work. i have bastian schicks lataest uploader (bjl_load from his download/new directory, it also includes giveio.sys) but as soon as i try to upload at file nothing happens after the uploader has determined the file's length and startaddress. my cable is 100% ok since uploading works on my TT. which LPT mode should i use? i've tried EPP, ECP and bidirectional, without any success, though. and ideas what to do? regards, ray
  5. hi there mathias, i am using dosBox yet. it runs madMac quite fine but no chance to get the BJLuploader running with it. i need to check that giveio.sys driver, tho. regards, ray
  6. i'm sorry but it seems you have misunderstood me. BJL doesn't have to do anything with burning CDRs regards, ray
  7. hi there, do you know if there's a chance to get the BJL uploader running under any modern windows like NT/2000/XP which doesn't allow direct IO access. did bastian schick or someone else happen to write a program which is compatible to their higher level drivers? any sort of help would be appreciated. i can't use my TT for doing the uploads atm. so it would be cool to upload stuff via my PEECEE. regards, ray
  8. hi there, i'd like to get a bit more into writing decent GPU+Blitter code after having built a BJL kit into my jaguar. despite lots of documents and a pretty good 68k knowledge on my side i have lots of questions left. "in my demo coding past" i found our 16/32bit #atariscne channel on IRCnet especially useful for asking coding related questions to more expirienced people and/or discussing stuff in realtime, better than through any bbs. i'd like to encourage people to make up a jaguar-specific channel on IRC (or does it already exist?) or also to join #atariscene in order to exchange lots of good knowledge and of course in order to show the scene's still alive . any suggestions? regards, ray
  9. hi there, i just BJL modified my jag and built a cable...the firmware modification works fine obviously, it brings up the debugging screen with its blue border and the whole register dump. now my problem appears as soon as i try to transfer a file into the jaguar's ram. i'm using the latest bjl uploader (2005) but nothing happens on neither the jaguar, nor the peecee side (i.e. having pressed 'A' the jaggy keeps waiting with the blue uploader screen, without any palette flicker while the pc just hangs into the bjl loader). i've also rechecked the cable connection several times and booted into ms dos 6.22 using an older uploader but i always get the same result...i even tried several settings for my LPT port (bidirectional, EPP, ECP), but there's no cure (. any hints? do you think my pc's parallel port is incompatible/cut down in some way, or am i the one that is mistaken on the user's side? thanks for any suggestions. regards. my webpage
