Are the Kirby games really that hard to find? Most of the regular retail stores around where I live still have them on the shelf.

I don't see Kiby Canvas Curse very often at retail stores but I do see the newer one (Squeak Squad) on a regular basis quite a bit. For some reason, I thought that Canvas Curse wasn't being made anymore but I don't know for sure.

Speaking of adding to your collections... do you have both versions of Bubble Bobble Revolution for the DS? I have the case for each and there are differences. (Almost no difference really) The main difference is one version works properly and the other is bugged.
As for Big Mutha Truckers.... I see it at the store this week for $10 (Canadian)... it's not very hard to find either.

Dood!!
I'm totally going to hunt down a copy of Game and Watch Collection. I used to play on those things all the time.
Mostly Octopus and Turtle Bridge...but hey they were quick silly fun.
Also need to get my hands on Bubble Bobble... that franchise has been a solid one for many years, and always fun.
I really like the DS, but I can't say that I like all the games for it. Plenty of good ones, but the chaff far out weighs the gems.

The first Japanese Kirby game is called "Touch! Kirby's Magic Paintbrush." I remember because I was looking forward to it coming stateside.

I currently have netiher version of Bubble Bobble Revolution mainly because I don't know what version is what. I know about the one that does not work properly after a certain level but what are the box art differences? Can you post pics? I assume the copies that you would buy at retail stores now are the corrected version?
Any additional info on this would be great.

Where is the glitch in Bubble Bobble revolution? There's a certain spot I have trouble getting past.
Anyway, They sell it new at cd exchange place here for 14. It is also marked down to $20 at K-mart.
Is Rainbow Islands for DS worth picking up?

Like I said, I don't have it but I believe it is Level 30 in the newer version of Bubble Bobble. From what I understand, there is the classic Bubble Bobble and then the revamped, updated version and this is where the glitch is found.
I just found two links for you but I'm sure it's all over the internet:

Cool thanks!
I really only play the classic version of BB on my DS, the newer version that is on revolution is extremly frustrating. Not sure how I would ever make it to level 30 on there anyway lol

My batteries are charging for my digital camera but I will get some pics posted.
I don't believe the corrected copies were sold in stores. Yes, the glitch is in the updated version at level 30. The only noticeable difference is some product coding on the right side of the upc code on the back. The corrected version says RE1 at the end.

I just bought a used Bubble Bobble at Game Stop and I haven't played it to try and get to level 30 but from what you say, I guess it is the corrected copy because it has the "RE1" near the barcode. Is that the only difference or are the numbers on the cartridge different? I'd like to find one of the glitched copies (for collecting purposes) but I guess I should look for it sealed since it would be the only way to ensure that the cartridge actually goes with the case. Does anyone have a Bubble Bobble game that does not have the "RE1" near the barcode? Anyone have any additional info on differences between the glitched and fixed versions?
Here is a pic of the one that I just got:

I have a glitched copy of it. No RE1 near the barcode. The cover on mine is diffirent than the cover on yours in that it has Bub and Bob on it.

Do you mean that your instruction booklet cover is different? The case in the picture is the back side of my case....the front has Bub and Bob on it but I am showing the back of the case in the picture so you can see the bar code. On the right side of the bar code, it has RE1. You can see it if you click on the picture and then click on it again to zoom in.
Unless you mean that your instruction booklet is different than the one shown, wait, what do you mean again?

Ok I was confused I thought your picture of the booklet was the front cover. They appear identical otherwise but mine does have a diffirent barcode.

OK, I believe that I have this Bubble Bobble DS thing figured out along with Rustblackend's help. Here is the breakdown for anyone looking to get a copy either glitched or fixed.
If you want a copy that has been revised and does not have a glitch on it then here is what the item should have:
The back of the case has: NTR P AB6E REV1 to the right of the bar code.
The cartridge has: NTR-AB6E-USA-1 along the bottom of the label.
The instruction booklet has: NTR-AB6E-USA-1 on the upper right corner.
If you are a collector and on the hunt for a glitched copy of the game, it should have:
The back of the case has: NTR P AB6E to the right of the bar code.
The cartridge has: NTR-AB6E-USA along the bottom of the label.
The instruction booklet has: NTR-AB6E-USA on the upper right corner.
Yep, it seems that the "REV1" on the case and the "1" after the USA on the booklet and cartridge are the way to identify which is which.

I have both now and can definately confirm the difference by the UPC's since I have them both in front of me. I have a factory sealed "glitched copy" and a complete "fixed copy". Here is a pic of the back of the cases with the glitched on the left and the fixed one on the right.

Is Princess Natasha rare? I've only seen it at one store out of about a dozen that sell games in my city, and darn if it isn't K-Mart, where they put the games behind glass cases so nobody could steal them, even though if someone tried to the buzzer would go off and they'd be caught anyway (how's that for a run-on sentence?
)

Found it online, $19 shipped.....not rare.
PRINCESS NATASHA
If a game is still available for purchase online or at retail stores, it can't really be that rare. Certain titles may not be found on a regular basis but if I can find a place selling them for retail or less online than it's a readily available title.
Oh and about the buzzer going off, that's only if you take the whole packaging. If a thief was to open up a game and just take a disc or cartridge, that would not set off the beeper.

I'm not an e-bay user, and I don't really buy things online except from the nice folks here at AtariAge, so my mindset is if I see it in just one store, I think it's pretty rare because I don't buy DS games online. Sorry for keeping this up.

Don't say that or I end up talking to myself.
I love talking DS and I didn't mean my post to "shoot you down" or anything. It may be rare if you are only looking in stores for it, I think I have seen it at Best Buy and Sam's Club a while back but you are right, most stores don't sell it. It's actually supposed to be a horrible game from most reviews.
Seriously, don't be sorry for posting here because if it goes too far down the list, I will usually end up just talking to myself so this thread doesn't die.

Well, it's been over 7 months since I started this thread and over 2 months since it's been posted in so I'm curious if anyone has any different ideas of rare DS games.
I did sell some of my games not long ago but of course, now regret it. I still have most of my collection and I have slowly been adding to it when I see a good deal. If I had to pick one game that I sold which I regret the most, it would be Tingle's Balloon Fight.
So, what do you guys/gals think are the rarest DS games right now?
Or, of the games that many would not consider rare, are there any that you think will be a future rarity?

Have you tried going to the Gamestop.com website and searching for the game and then entering your zip code to find one used. It will show stores that may have it in your area. That is how I found a Tenchu DS game that I was looking for and had trouble finding. Just make sure that you call ahead and make sure they have it because just because the website says they have some, doesn't necessarily mean that they do.
Give it a try.

Does anyone know if a game called Brain Buster is a Game Stop/EB Games Exclusive? I haven't seen it anywhere else and I think I remember seeing somewhere that it was.
Also, just a heads up that in addition to the possible exclusive above, there are two others that just came out recently. The Settlers which I had preordered many months ago and has had many bumps and Megaman StarForce Dragon.
I don't know if I'm correct but I believe Tenchu to be the only other Game Stop exclusive for the DS. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
