Put up your laser and dig your whip out of the closet - it's time to play Castlevania III!

Post a score and let's get this thing rolling!

Please post any tips you may have - best tip gets 1 bonus point!

And if anyone has a link to the manual, please post it.

Note: Only scores achieved by playing a new game, from the beginning, will count - no continues and no passwords.

Special Rules: These are copied from TG:

Quote

Names and Passwords are BANNED! [This is due to being able to start the game with one of the 3 Spirit Partners without having to meet/find them] Leeching Zombies with Holy Water is NOT allowed! Leeching money bags/hearts is BANNED!!

[This is done by going offscreen via stairs up or down, and then going back to that previous screen so that all of the candles and moneybags within are replenished.] You may freely choose any Spirit Partner you meet, to join you.

This week's competition ends next Tuesday (Jan 30) morning at approximately 8:00 am PST.

This week's standings:

Does the American version of this game have the same awesome music as the Japanese version? Because I think this game has some of the best NES music of all time.

The answer is a resounding "no." The Japanese music is the bomb:

US version
Japanese version
