Hello everybody :)
Just got 2 new ones for the 360....
Ninety-Nine nights (Microsoft Studios) and Table Tennis (Rockstar Games)
I went the money saver route and got 2 price drop games instead of one full price. The 2 games together cost me only 50 bucks...Nights was $30, TT - $20. I had some fun with Table Tennis, it's a cool game. I didn't really dig the demo when I initially tried it but now that it's cheap I figured "why not" It's a good 2 player game. I don't really like the difficulty curve though, seems like it's either really easy or really hard and that kind of sucks but I've only had it a weekend. Ninety Nine Nights on the other hand blew me away. This is the kind of game I have wanted for a while. The combos kick ass and all the enemies on screen at once charging at you are just amazing. I really like this one and plan on playing it through. I recommend it. It seems like Dynasty warriors but I have only played DW on the PSP. If this is how DW is on the 360 then count me in for that one as well. I like the Hack and Slash thing combined with a little startegy, makes a fun and interesting game. Any of you guys play either of these games and what did you think? Thanks man

I enjoyed both 99N and DW on the 360.
99N is definately the better of the two I think.

The only DW game currently available on the 360 is DW5 Empires. It's a bi-level game. On one level you have Risk-style strategizing with tending to domains, recruiting troops, and positioning generals. On the other level you have the conventional hack n' slash (which has it's own strategic elements as to which areas to attack or defend at any given time).

You might want to check out Samurai Warriors 2 instead, which doesn't have the Risk board elements. If you like SW2, then you might want to upgrade to the DW5 Empires variant. And SW2 Empires is supposed to be coming out shortly.

I've been tempted to buy N3 as well, especially since it dropped to $30. However, I prefer the vast character selection of the Koei offerrings better, so SW2 and DW5 Empires have been scratching my itch.

I played through DW5 and I agree there are considerably more characters...but like 75% of them look exactly the same it seems like..... Granted with different names.

The 2 games play similar, crap load of enemies against you and yours, but at the same time very different. I couldn't say which one I liked better. 99N is definately better looking and you actually fight and kill or fight with individuals, unlike DW5 where enemies and ally's just kinda pop up and disappear. I like DW5 in that between rounds you can issue orders to help build up your armies something 99N is seriously lacking. In 99N you just kinda find new weapons and equip them. If you enjoy these types of games I'd definately get all 3.

Rise from your grave!

If this thread turns into a electrified lizard man, I'm leavin'.

I FINALLY got Ninety-Nine Nights today. I was in Toys R Us looking for Heroscape stuff (they had already been looted) and checked out the video game bargain bin. It was $10, which finally tipped it into impulse buy territory for me.

It only took me about a year.

Woah, forgot all about this one....I don't even own a 360 anymore - lol
I am going to buy table tennis for the Wii though :) I do miss 99 nights but the part I hated was you had to re-do the entire battle if you died. When you get farther in the game that can take hours, doing it over is very lame. Otherwise it was a damn good game

i thought about getting N3, but there's a new hack n slash on the horizon. I forget the name, I downloaded the demo and it was pretty cool. Was it kingdom under fire? I don't know. will have to look when I get home.

The only DW game currently available on the 360 is DW5 Empires.
There's also Dynasty Warriors: Gundam!

What? It technically fits.

There's also now Warriors Orochi. Thing is, neither was around when that post was made early last year. ;)

Oh no biggie. Just figured it was worth pointing out since there are quite a few of these hack-and slashes now. In fact Dynasty Warriors 6 will be hitting the 360 and PS3 in a couple weeks. I don't care how many times Koei releases the same game with minimal upgrades, I'll keep playing them. They are like fast food, you know they aren't all that great for you, but you can't stop.

DW Gundam is a fun game. Especially if you're a fan Gundam. They use a wide variety of Gundam models from the different series and a lot of the original voice actors for the characters.

Definitely your DW type hack/slash

NNN was okay. I enjoyed the first few hours of mindless hack and slash but got bored real quick. Now I don't want to finish the game with 3 other characters.
