Is it possible to connect a USB keyboard to the Wii? I've got a Sharkboard in my collection which I've thought about using, but if it won't work (either through the USB or GameCube port) it's probably not worth the trouble of digging out of my big box of orphaned peripherals.

So stupid how these consoles put standard ports on them and can't even write the simplest of drivers (mouse and keyboards are nothing special to do).

No, not at all. Heck, even the Xbox 360 (as proprietary as it is) can recognize USB keyboards! I think it's ridiculous that Nintendo would go to all the trouble of including USB ports on a game system that will never use them. C'mon, guys, use a little common sense!

You mean "that console", right?

My 360 and PS3 work just fine with a keyboard, in fact I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo on one.

I also hope Nintendo will address this, it should be a no-brainer for them. :(
