Anyone know of a website that will still allow preorders for the Wii Play?

I have also been looking for a place to preorder but bestbuy is a no go. Here is a link to Best Buy's Wii Play:

LINK

I don't see any preorder option. If anyone else has an idea, let us know. :)

Actually, I just noticed that it shows the release date as tomorrow (12/13/07). I didn't know it was that soon, that pretty much rules out preorders then. Technically, it will be released in a matter of hours.

it's $50, not $60 AND it comes with a freakin' wiimote! that technically makes the game only $10.

anyone else think it's lame that it's not 4 player?

None of my Bestbuys show any currently as the online website still shows Wii Play as coming soon.

Target did have some release info on it the other day...but now the title doesn't even appear anymore on their website either. Same for Walmart.com?!

Then I check Gamestop/EBGames online..and nothing on Wii Play either?! What is going on?

I also just picked up Wii Play from a Best Buy but it was by far not the closest one. I went to the Best Buy website and while it does say it is back-ordered to order online, you can search by your local stores and just purchase right on the website with a credit card and then go pick it up at the store (as long as one is near you that has it). I drove about 20 minutes away although I have a Best Buy less than 5 minutes away.

It was worth the drive just so I know I have it and to my surprise, I saw about three others on the shelf. I'm sure most Best Buy stores will be getting them in this afternoon, that is what my local store said but I'm busy with picking up the kids, homework help, dinner and all the other chores. Yeah, it was definately worth the drive. :D

I haven't played it yet because I just walked in the door. I have some things to finish up and I might give it a try....then again, I might wait for the kids to get home from school. They are as excited about it as I am so we should share the first play together.

Best of luck to anyone looking to get Wii Play, call your Best Buy's, Wal-Marts, Targets and wherever.

Gee, here in Oz it was available on Wii release day back in December, so we finally got a title (and in PAL) before you guys......

We have only played with Wii Play once as it really did not grab us, I am interested in your views as maybe we missed something and should persevere.

After calling around to Gamestop (only enough for pre-orders), Wal-Mart (sold out), and Target (not getting them in until Thursday), I finally found some at BestBuy. I actually picked up the last two they had on the shelves. One for me, and one for my bro who just got a Wii Sunday. :)

It appears you have to play the games kind of sequentially to unlock all the games, starting with Target Shooting. Tanks is the last game to open, which unfortunately I wanted to play first!

I needed the other remote, so this is a pretty good deal overall.

You should have just bought another wiimote for $40 and saved the $10.

I picked up Wii Play and have put a good 90 minutes into it, it's pretty fun. Short, but fun. I especially liked when I scored 600 points in Shooting Gallery, the game sent a message to my Wii telling me to use two Wiimotes at once! I'm not sure if this is a reward or if you could do it from the hop. Either way, using two Wiimotes is crazy fun, you just blast the shit out of everything!

I find it hard to see why some people here are saying this game isn't worth $10. They're basically extremely glorified Atari games. I mean, essentially, Pong, Fishing Derby and Combat are on the disc, plus a crazy fun game of billiards with a shooting game that makes you smile if you're a fan of the old NES games like Trick Shooting and Duck Hunt (the minigame references both). I even found myself enjoying Charged.

Maybe I just really like the Wiimote, but it seems as though I can play any game with that sweet little thing and enjoy it. It's been 3 months and it's still fresh and new.

Now, Nintendo, give us about 30-40 GOOD decent sized true minigames on a compilation and that will be a killer disc! I would even love to see companies update games like Galaga or Xevious to use the Wiimote. I know it's not possible, but R.C. Pro-Am would be amazing with motion sensing controls. Even Rad Racer.

Boy, this was a difficult game to find, but we found it. The only store, locally, that had it in stock was our beloved Wal-Mart. Sigh. So, we got it home and started playing. We like it, but to me, it really feels more like a tech demo--albeit a fun one. The nine-ball pool is probably the most frustrating game yet on the Wii. It's control scheme is not the best I've seen. It has possibilities, but needs a bit of work. The other games, though, are pretty decent. We really liked the Duck Hunt game and my son loves the Mii matching game. Fishing is cool as is the laser hockey. I was not particularly turned on to the Pong game, but it is ok. Overall, for a ten dollar game, it is great. I say ten because it does come with a controller, so I feel like I paid forty dollars for the controller and ten for the game. :)
If you want or need an extra controller and can find this, then it is a must buy. If you do not need or want the controller, wait for it to show up at a store used and cheap. Don't get me wrong, it is fun, but it lacks the same allure as Wii Sports.

I was lucky enough to find it yesterday evening (Friday) at the EB in the local mall. They had 2, bought 1 and left the other for someone else to enjoy.

I looked online at EB's website and had it find a Gamestop nearby that showed "4+". Well, it wasn't necessarily nearby but 40 miles out of the way wasn't too bad :).

Introduced the Wii to the family today. It didn't take long before my wife suggested we get another controller to make it easier for 3 players. So while we were out I stumbled across Wiiplay of all places at k-mart.

So I figured an extra $10 for a glorified demo, sure why not.

I think some of the games are pretty fun. Obviously they are really short.

Kind of reminds me of some of the early games for the DS. A bunch of novel but incomplete ideas thrown into one package.

Hopefully nintendo will have enough sense to step it up in regards to the Wii. There is alot of potential there, but little short incomplete games is not gonna cut the mustard against the competition.

In the handheld industry the could get away with it, but in the console world the competition is a bit tougher.

It's kinda fun, though, to think of the possibilities and like someone already said they are kinda like brief 2600 games. :D

Yeah I am digging Wii Play too.
It's short but that's good. Had I paid full price, I might be a bit put off, but hte games are fun and it uses Miis which I think is cool.
So far the hidden gem at our house is Fishing. My girl and I have been playing for about 20 minutes a night so far and some times she's actually beating me.
Good times ;)

Is there any way to get this game seperately if you already have four remotes and don't need another?

I'm glad it didn't come in another one of those crappy cardboard slip case like Wii Sports did. It's packaged in an official Wii case with nice artwork.

MMF, you may want to make a post in the Marketplace. Maybe someone doesn't want the game but wants the controller and you could somehow split it. Or, like others have said, it may be showing up used at game stores. Another idea would be to just buy the package and sell the Wiimote you don't need on ebay or here at AA.

I wonder what they'll charge when they do start getting them traded in? Perhaps Nintendo will eventually release Wii Play by itself. I just need to find one nunchuck to have four wiimotes and four nunchucks. Oh, and of course the two Classic Controllers........I love playing Donkey Kong Country on the Wii! :)

Have you tried WiiBay?
