All right, so I've finally learned how to play Excitetruck. The only problem is that I haven't learned to play it WELL. You have to maintain a fine balance between holding the lead and racking up stars in order to get high scores, and I can't seem to do it... either I finish first but come up short on stars, or I collect a bounty of stars but wind up fourth or fifth! If anyone has any suggestions on how I can improve, or ways to cheat the system and load up on enough stars to win without crossing the finish line first, I'd really appreciate the advice!

its not that hard man, just make sure you land right when you do your jumps, make sure you hit the rings when in the air, do yoru drifts, and aim for other trucks to get smashes...

also, a great way is to be ballsy.. drive through some trees, bam.. points.

idk, ive gotten pretty damn good, didnt take me long to do though.. just dont concentrate on either winning or points, just try to drive to the finish crazy like, and youll do just fine.

Seconded. Try to drift as much as possible, especially round the big corners, as it racks up stars like you wouldn't believe. Learn the tracks and work out the shortcuts, also where the Pow pickups are, as they're usually placed right beside the best tree-run areas.

One example I can give you is on one of the Finnish tracks (can't remember the name right now) - it's 2 laps long and essentially one big loop, and about halfway through there's a jump over water where you can choose to jump left or right (onto an inner or outer part of the track, essentially). If you jump to the right on the first lap you'll find lots of opportunities to rack up stars by drifting, doing multiple turbo jumps and a ring jump. However, on the second lap you should always jump to the left (the inner circuit) as it's much faster and will (hopefully) get you to the finish line in first place.

It's basically just about balancing things like that, learning the ins and outs of each track, which truck is best suited to which track (at least until you unlock the really good trucks) when to take your time and do as many tricks as possible and when to put on the speed and head for the finish as fast as you can.

oh and btw, sometimes its better to go back to the earlier trucks when you try to go back and get S class on the old tracks as the new trucsk as so good that they dont hit the jumps well in the track, and you end up never seeing the competition making it actually HARDER to accumulate points cuase you cant do truck smash attacks. so dont forget to purposely downgrade sometimes.
