9. cyro: cart
10. Generalhellfire: cart, instructions
11. Wonder007: CIB (Got his from Sly)
12. John Hardy (cx2k): CIB (Got his from the company)
13. DeusExMachina: cart, manual (Got his in the mid 90's from rec.games.video.classic, and got his manual from gospeedde)

Complete Edit

As you can see this list still has some holes in it, if you have any info to make the list more complete this would be much appreciated.

There are probably more than 7 boxed ones (heck, how common is that box?!). If I'm not mistaken, Joe Santuli has one, and I wouldn't be surprised if the CGE guys kept an extra one (or two) for a rainy day.

(waits for CPU to appear to say that there are only 6 boxed ones, tops) :)

Cheers,
Marco

LOL, that is what I was told, 6 came from the garage of the CommaVid guys, yours and Cassidy's were obviously not part of that lot.

EDIT: I believe Sean sold his for sure and I think Joe did the same thing.

Hmm, So there are 8 boxes then for sure. Interesting. By a method of ruling people out I think Rick got his from Sean, and if Joe did sell his I have no idea to who though. :ponder:

I think the Generalhellfire guy got his from Atariager. The reason I say that is because Atariager was selling the Video Life cart, instructions, and Repo Box and Generalhellfire has the same thing.

Interestingly enough, I asked GeneralHellfire where he got the box from, because it didn't come from me and he said it didn't come from Tom (I gave him the full name and he didn't recognize it). :ponder:

Wow that cart seems to have changed hands more times than the Globetrotter cart. ;) Also does anyone know what member got Steve's cart. Is that member already up there or are they one of the previous 16?

Congrats and welcome the club :) . I have this feeling though that you may have broken your $450 record for a cart ;) .

Irwin Gaines (CommaVid co-founder/programmer) has one (CIB). I'd assume that the other two CommaVid guys (John Bronstein and Joseph Biel) probably have one also, but I haven't spoken to them to confirm this.

According to Dr. Gaines, only about 20 copies of Video Life were made...so it looks like they're all pretty much accounted for.

If the other two guys have one, wouldn't that go over 20???

if i was a betting man, i would bet that atariager don't have his anymore. i would also bet Joe still has one. that would total 20 counting the other 2 people :)
