I picked one up yesterday, people waiting in line outside for awhile.

They had 36 of them, all were gone. I was number 18. I had a blast with Wii Sports and played it pretty much non-stop during the day, and was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it, as I was buying it because somebody else wanted it.

I bought an extra remote and nunchuk.

Also bought the last Zelda, but haven't played it due to Wii Sports. Finally hit 95 mph with the fastball and bowled a 230. I am very surprised how good these are, considering it's basically a demo.

I have the Slug carts for my MVS, how does the Remote and Nunchuck come into play on the Wii version?

the basic setup up is hold the wii mote like a nes controller, shoot and jump are 1 adn 2, throw grenades you shake the controller, there are other options with the nunchucke and tilting and such, but i like the basic setup..its really fun to have them all on one disk and seeing them all nice and crisp. i have metal slug 1 for my saturn, and this just seemed to have a bit less lag and seemed to be a tad more colorful

This is why I've held off on getting MSA, although it does include 6 which was Atomiswave only. All the control schemes are really weird IMHO, but there is one that allows you to use a GC controller which is probably the closest you're going to get to the Neo Geo controller. Shame it doesn't use the classic controller, but apperently Nintendo didn't give them the specs on it in time.

Looks like the PS2 version comes out at the end of the month. I'll most likely wait for that.

Wow, so after almost 4 months of being out people are still waiting in line for it. Simply amazing.

The basic setup is pretty good and Metal Slug 2 has NO SLOWDOWN... but your mileage may vary...

Cheers,

Yeah I've been having people over to play with mine. Wii Sports is definetly the favorite, although we had fun with Elebits as well (although we really didn't know what we were doing). Much to my surprise none of my friends really liked Warioware Smooth Moves, they all thought it was too strange and whacked out. The main problem is that I had to go through single player mode to unlock multiplayer therefore I know all the forms. When I invite people over to play they've never played through the single player mode so I have to try and explain all the forms to them quickly and they usually just get frustrated.

Godammit! I still can't manage to find one anywhere. I would have thought they would be everywhere by now. I still don't see any DSs available around here, either. I guess as soon as they come in, they go right out the door.

I have never even seen the nunchuck attachment or an extra Wii-mote available for sale.

Same here. I borrowed a friends copy, and everyone who's seen it is turned off by it. Usual response - 'that's stupid, why would I want to do that?' Wii Sports continues to be the only thing that gets played.

Re: MSA

I am waiting to see what the PS2 version is like before deciding what to buy.

I was not surprised to see that many people in line for the Wii; it is nowhere to be found around here. Also, the system is a massive amount of
fun, because of the interactivity. This is coming from someone who was a jaded skeptic to the system, seeing it as nothing more than a
gimmick to make up for the lack of power of the other two systems.

If you think about it, it may end up being the best fit for the casual gamer. Right now the price and lack of quality titles are why I'm staying
away from the PS3 for now, but will eventually get one. I haven't bought a 360 (own original) because I am reading stories that they're charging you for extra content for games (like Godather - the reason why I bought the Xbox version as opposed to a 360). But with Nintendo I'm spending the better part of a day on their free demo (which is basically what Wii Sports is), and still haven't touched Zelda.
