It wasn't until this week that I ever heard of anyone actually losing weight by playing video games. When on March 6 in the Red Streak which is published by the Chicago Tribune did a feature article on it. They told of Mickey DeLorenzo you can see the images at http://www.wiinintendo.net who lost 9 lbs. from Dec 3 to Jan 15 by doing nothing but playing his Wii. To take this one step further www.traino.com has of all things Wii workouts.

i can see how wii sports can give you a good workout, god knows that ive been sore after playing for a few hours (esp boxing) sometimes, but damn.. thast a lot of weight to lose from a game.

Red Eye. If I'm not mistaken, Red Streak was a (now defunct) competitor in the "Pop Newspaper" market.

I have the Red Eye article next to me, though I haven't read it yet. :)

I've actually read some stuff about people losing lots of weight from constantly playing DDR. Some people have actually gone as far as buying full arcade versions of DDR to use as weight loss equipment.

oh yea forgot baout ddr, that had an excercise program in it.. then again ive never heard anyone buying the arcade unit, just making arcade style pads that dont slip and sound like crinkly tissue paper.
