So I picked up a set of silicone gloves, by Intec I think - one white and one black.
Does anyone else use these and how do you find them? Overall I think they make the controllers look kind of cool and the added protection / grip is welcome. I've only found I don't like them for playing with the controller as an NES pad, because the 1 and 2 buttons are a little harder to get at. With something like New Adventure Island, this can make a difference.
By and large though, I kind of like them. Not the smell though :(

Haven't seen a need for any of these as of yet. Neither of my two boys has had the remote slip from their hands yet...and that is what the strap is for. Also that rubber is likely gonna make the controllers even dirtier and harder to clean...ugh...

honestly, i know if i got these it would be like the skin for my gc... it would look cool for about 2 weeks, then id miss how the thing was suppsoed to look like. i think it does make it look cool, but the wiimote without the protector is a bit classier looking i think. also , like you said, buttons are hard to push down with those protectors. no company to my knowledge has made a beveled edge to the button holes, so trying to shove your finger in to hit the home button on some of those protectors doenst look fun. theres a company that also has nunchuck protectors btw, comes with a recharge station.

idk, doesnt seem work it to me.. i like the look and feel of the controllers just fine, and hoenstly, if you keep yoru things nice you dont need all that rubber all over it to keep it nice. so far ive just made sure not to eat and play games at the same time, and be careful where i set my wiimote (ie: not on a paper i did for class that i used pencil with) and everything is great.

and ive also learned form the past, sometimes taking them off or putting them on does more damage to the controller than it would have gotten just sitting there like normal.. i remember how those companies said you coudl take off the skins off the gc just fine, and i had glue gook everywhere that took me FOREVER to clean off, and do to the scratches on my system from cleaning it , is a major reason why i decided to just paint my gc.

personally, for as much money as they charge for something that is pretty useless and overall a hinder to gaming, id put it towards a game.

Doesnt sound like something I'd consider getting.
The smell will change over time, that new plasicy odor will be replaced with the smell of stinky hand sweat!! :P
I did get a couple of those Wii-mote grips tho.

Damn, I was hoping this was going to be about some new Power-Glove-like controller for the Wii...
