no disk swapping.. no hassle.. quick solder, sounds wonderful. and for the price of a game, not too shabby.

Play Wii DVD-R and DVD+R media
Play Gamecube DVD-R and DVD+R media

Do these features basically mean you can burn ISO images to DVD and play pirated games on the Wii?

I'm a little surprised by this, if that's the case. I suppose pirating is already pretty rampant then, much like the Playstation days.

Most definately, my guess is that a very large percentage of the younger Wii owners are all pirating games. Good for Nintendo, they will sell more units (and probably already have because the system was cracked a month after release), but very bad for 3rd party developers.

BTW, the Cyclowiz does not boot Wii imports, the text is misleading. :(

Impossible! I heard from a very reliable poster source that the Wii would need a new optical drive to play DVDs! :P

"Direct boot of all media, without swapping*! (PAL and NTSC) "

does that mean it plays japanese imports or no?

Man people will believe anything eh? The Wii can play DVD's as is. It's called gamecube media player. It's been around for a long ass time.

Wiikey is supposed better because it's updatable. I'm pretty sure it can be updated to play games from other regions. It's just that from what I hear not every game works. I don't think Cyclo-Wiz makes it region free. It just enables direct booting of burned games from that console's respective region and it's compatible with both NTSC and PAL machines.
